Poker Icon Incoming? ♥️

Kylie Jenner is playing her cards right, and we’re living for every second of it. This begs the question—could she be the next Jennifer Tilly in the making?

In the latest casino news (well, casino-adjacent), Kylie has been flexing her poker prowess. If you recall, just last month, Miss Jenner and her boo, Timothée Chalamet, made celebrity news headlines for living it up at an A-lister-studded poker night hosted by Cartier in honor of Timmy’s Academy Award nominations.

High-Roller Kylie

And now, Kyles is back at it. On Thursday, March 13, she took to her Instagram Story to flex on her followers, showing that she’s been deep in her poker bag lately. The story featured our girl playing some good ol’ fashioned Texas Hold ‘Em with the caption, “I love my poker sister sm @victoriavillarroel,” tagging her former assistant and friend, Victoria Villarroel.

A quick hop over to Victoria’s page reveals that not only were they playing cards, but Kylie actually beat her. Victoria reposted Kylie’s IG Story, writing, “I almost had you!! smh.”

What makes this even more intriguing is that GQ’s coverage of Timothée Chalamet’s poker party spent a considerable amount of time highlighting just how shockingly good Kylie is at the game. And hey, excelling at poker takes brains, and let’s be real—the Kylie Jenner net worth didn’t hit ten figures by accident.

Poker Is Cool Again

It seems like Kylie’s been flirting with poker games for at least a few months now. Even over the holidays, she shared a video from her family’s holiday party where they were playing cards. This makes me think about the poker resurgence we’re witnessing. In the early 2000s, poker was wildly popular—I mean, my siblings and I would play for hours and watch countless celebs unabashedly compete on TV. Then, it kind of disappeared.

But now, it’s bigger than ever. This is undoubtedly due to a combination of factors, such as advancements in technology making gambling more fun, major poker tournaments like the World Series of Poker seeing record-breaking participation and prize pools, and the overall accessibility of the game, especially with casino online options. Whether you’re playing in person or on a US-based online casino, there’s no denying that poker is having a major resurgence, and our girl Kylie might just be at the forefront of it.
