World Series of Poker Is Making Its Return to Atlantic City
The WSOP Circuit Returns to Its Roots, and AC Might Just Be Hot Again

Just What AC Needs? 🎲🤞
Ah, 2025 is the year—and what a sweet year it is. The year poker returns to the mainstream, and now, the year the World Series of Poker returns to Atlantic City. We love to see it, y’all.
Yep, in the latest casino news, WSOP just announced it’s heading back to Harrah’s Atlantic City this August. Which is wild, because the Circuit hasn’t stopped in AC since 2020. Now it’s strutting back into Harrah’s like it owns the place (which, historically, it totally does).

Harrah’s in AC was where the Circuit started in 2005 (and if you weren’t glued to your TV watching WSOP in your Juicy tracksuit, are you even a poker fan?). We’re talking full-circle moment and maybe even a redemption arc for Atlantic City—whose casinos, by the way, just had a brutal year. Profits dropped over 9% in 2024. Big yikes.
The Renaissance of Poker?
But they’re clearly not letting that trend continue, because yes, WSOP is heading straight for AC. And it kind of makes me wonder: are we entering a poker renaissance?
We’ve got Kylie Jenner randomly flexing her Hold ’Em skills on Instagram, every third ad is for a legit bet platform, and let’s be honest—half of Gen Z is one Red Bull away from falling in love with another virtual casino game. All we’re missing is a new Gen Z Jennifer Tilly. (And obviously, that should be Sydney Sweeney. Tell me she wouldn’t crush a table of pros just by locking eyes and whispering “all in.” Petition to get her to Atlantic City in August, please?)

Harrah’s is clearly bringing its A-game this year with all the renewed interest in the game—new rooms, new vibes, celebrity chef restaurants everywhere you look. They’re leaning into the glam, the luxury, and the nostalgia. We gotta respect it.
So, whether this WSOP Atlantic City homecoming is exactly what the city needs or just a cute little blip in its history, it’s pretty clear poker is having a moment. And if tournaments aren’t your thing (same, I prefer to spectate), try your hand at the best online gambling—right from the comfort of your Juicy tracksuit. No stress and no crazy buy-in.
