Ireland Firms With World Cup Rugby Betting Lines

There have been some solid betting moves for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, with Ireland taking over the top spot.

With pool play coming to an end in a couple of weeks, bettors still have plenty of time to wager on their favorite teams.

Our Rugby World Cup best bets are still looking good, with New Zealand and South Africa right in the mix.

Smiling Irish Eyes

Irish eyes were smiling when Ireland defeated South Africa last week, and they’re now the favorites in our Rugby World Cup predictions for Sep 29.

Beating the reigning World Cup champions is enough to take over favoritism, especially when they’re the top-ranked team in the world. Therefore, Ireland should get a good trip through to the quarterfinals.

However, because of the odd ranking system for the World Cup, which took place three years ago, Ireland is on a path to face the All Blacks in the quarterfinals.

New Zealand is the favorite with Rugby World Cup odds to win, but for now, all the momentum is with the men in green.

We are not talking about being champions, we are talking about the next game,” said first-five Johnny Sexton. “Now it’s all about Scotland. We’re not thinking about anything beyond that.

“Scotland are an excellent team. I think that they would be frustrated about how they played against South Africa.”

Nothing Between Them

Despite a loss to Ireland, South Africa is the joint favorite to win the Rugby World Cup.

It was a close loss to Ireland, and there was nothing between them, so we’re not surprised by sports betting markets.

South Africa is the defending champion, and that comes with a lot of respect. If the Springboks can tighten up their offense, they could bounce back in fine style.

We wouldn’t leave South Africa out of our Rugby World Cup best parlays at the price. It can boost payouts significantly, and we can’t see it losing in the early stages of the finals.

Given the Springbok’s experience in big games, they could progress further than Ireland, which has yet to make it past the quarterfinal stage in a Rugby World Cup.

England Surprising Fans

Expectations couldn’t have been lower for England entering the World Cup.

Their confidence levels were shot, and they were unwanted by bettors. However, after going unbeaten in group play, there is hope for the English.

England is still an underdog to win the World Cup with betting online markets. But their price is tough to overlook as a longshot chance, considering England is a former winner of the World Cup.

Does it have enough pure talent to beat the likes of Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa? Maybe not, but it should get the better side of the draw, and the wet conditions in France have played to its strengths.

A 27-10 win over Argentina is a good sign, but the sportsbook has been slow to take notice. There is an opportunity for bettors to take advantage.

Can Wales Deliver?

Wales has always been a team on the cusp of showing something, and after demoralizing Australia, that time could be now.

The Welsh scored an emphatic 40-6 win over the Wallabies, their biggest win over the Australians in their history, and by some margin.

They defeated Fiji and Portugal in the earlier games, and although they’re not brilliant, they’re good enough to score an upset win.

Bettors get a high-payout betting line for Wales, which is well worth entertaining.
