Three-time Rugby World Cup winner New Zealand heads to the United States to face the Eagles this Saturday at Washington’s FedEx Field.
It’s only the third time the All Blacks and U.S. national team have met, with the All Blacks winning 74-6 in Chicago in 2014.
It might be a one-sided outcome, but the American fans will be keen to see how their best players match up against the might of the All Blacks.
Rugby betting markets are available, and the game is being broadcast on NBC.
Eagles Facing Stiff Test
Most teams struggle to beat the All Blacks, let alone teams ranked as low as the USA Eagles. However, that’s not to say they can’t be competitive on home soil.
The All Blacks haven’t shown their best rugby when traveling stateside, mostly because they use it as a holiday. The Eagles are coming off a win and they could potentially cover the sizable spread.

The Eagles defeated Canada 38-16 last month as a dominant favorite. Hanco Germishuys scored a first-half treble, which allowed the Eagles to cruise home in the second half. It was a solid bounce back after getting destroyed by Ireland 71-10 in July.
The Eagles showed their skills when losing to England 43-29, and although they lost, they were the +4100 underdog coming into the game. Covering the spread was a positive outcome for Team USA, so there are signs of improvement among the squad.
With the current sportsbook betting line at 66½ points, that leans in their favor. They have played twice in the past and the Eagles lost by 40 and 66 points. A similar defeat would see them secure the cash for bettors.
All Blacks are All Class
There is no doubting the class of the All Blacks, who have won nine of their last 10 games.
The loss came their most recent game against South Africa, where they lost on a last-second penalty kick. The Rugby Championship winners were too worried about the loss before heading off on their end-of-season tour.
A trip to the United States is rare for the New Zealand side, but it hasn’t always been fruitful. Ireland defeated the All Blacks in Chicago to end their unbeaten season, so there are battle scars from their trips to America.
Congressman Alex Mooney, a Republican from West Virginia, is hoping the All Blacks tour will be a guide for the U.S. potentially playing host to a Rugby World Cup.
“I’m very excited to see the legendary New Zealand All Blacks take the pitch against the USA national men’s rugby team,” reported Stuff.co.nz. “We hope to pack Fed-X Field here in DC.
“The All Blacks of New Zealand are the world’s most famous rugby club. They strike fear in their opponents with their world-famous pre-game traditional war dance, called the Haka.”

The Haka will be in full display in Washington D.C, which should get the crowd at full volume.
Betting online markets have the All Blacks off-the-board for moneyline options. They could have a hard time covering the spread, but if this team is anywhere near its best, we could see a record scoreline.
