Drama was caused with Payne Haas signaling his intent to leave the club. However, he’s rostered on to the end of the year, which is good news.
“I’m happy here. We’ll speak about (contract) stuff at the end of the year but I love Brisbane,” Haas told ZeroTackle. “I always say to everyone that I love the club and the boys. People think I’m distracted by (the looming decision), but I’m not thinking about it now. I’m just wanting to play finals.”
Storm Finding Form
There were some worrying signs for the Storm a few weeks ago, but after three consecutive wins, they’re back on track.
They scored wins over the Warriors, Titans and Panthers. Last week’s 16-0 win over the Panthers was top-class, and making matters better for the Storm is getting Jahrome Hughes back in the halves.
We loved seeing Cameron Munster play fullback, but with Munster and Hughes in the halves, they’re tough to beat.
Betting online markets have the Storm as -200 favorites and that’s due to their form. Despite playing on the road, they love playing against the Broncos and it’s one of the most lopsided rivalries in the NRL.
The Storm have a 37-13 advantage over the Broncos, so they could ride that momentum into the finals and secure the win for bettors.
Broncos vs Storm Head-to-Head
The Storm have stifled the Broncos since 1998 and it’s one of the most one-sided matchups in the NRL.
That’s saying something as the Broncos have always been a quality outfit, so it shows just how good the Storm match up against them.
They won 32-20 in June and 40-12 last year, so the recent success is there.
