NRL Round 23 Matchup One-Sided
Top-Eight Blockbuster
The Melbourne Storm look to continue their dominance over the Brisbane Broncos on Friday.
With the playoffs just around the corner, securing a top-four spot is important and that’s what’s on the line at Suncorp Stadium.

The sportsbook has the Storm at -200 to secure another win and make a push for a home playoff fixture.
Let’s review the latest Rugby news, stats, injury reports, and Rugby odds for Broncos vs Storm. We’ve plenty of Rugby picks and predictions for you to consider.
Broncos Mixing Form
Bettors are finding it tough to back the Broncos with any confidence. They lost to the Tigers and Roosters in consecutive weeks before beating the lowly Knights last week.
We are not sure what to expect from the Brisbane-based franchise. They are one of the best teams in the competition when they’re firing on all cylinders, but there isn’t enough consistency to label them as legitimate title contenders.
NRL odds have the Broncos at +150 and +5½ with home field advantage. Against any other team except Melbourne, the odds would likely be reserved. The Broncos have been dominated by the Storm since 1998 and we’re unsure if the Broncos will make any headway into that.
Drama was caused with Payne Haas signaling his intent to leave the club. However, he’s rostered on to the end of the year, which is good news.
“I’m happy here. We’ll speak about (contract) stuff at the end of the year but I love Brisbane,” Haas told ZeroTackle. “I always say to everyone that I love the club and the boys. People think I’m distracted by (the looming decision), but I’m not thinking about it now. I’m just wanting to play finals.”
Storm Finding Form
There were some worrying signs for the Storm a few weeks ago, but after three consecutive wins, they’re back on track.
They scored wins over the Warriors, Titans and Panthers. Last week’s 16-0 win over the Panthers was top-class, and making matters better for the Storm is getting Jahrome Hughes back in the halves.
We loved seeing Cameron Munster play fullback, but with Munster and Hughes in the halves, they’re tough to beat.
Betting online markets have the Storm as -200 favorites and that’s due to their form. Despite playing on the road, they love playing against the Broncos and it’s one of the most lopsided rivalries in the NRL.
The Storm have a 37-13 advantage over the Broncos, so they could ride that momentum into the finals and secure the win for bettors.
Broncos vs Storm Head-to-Head
The Storm have stifled the Broncos since 1998 and it’s one of the most one-sided matchups in the NRL.
That’s saying something as the Broncos have always been a quality outfit, so it shows just how good the Storm match up against them.
They won 32-20 in June and 40-12 last year, so the recent success is there.

Broncos vs Storm Prediction
It’s hard to overlook the Storm’s record against the Broncos and bettors should jump on the -5½ line before it moves higher.
With the halves combination back intact, the Storm should have too much scoring power and we were equally impressed with their defense last week.
Take the generous line before it moves and lock in the Storm, who are marching towards another NRL Grand Final later this year.
