Battle for Pride
There is no chance of making the playoffs for the Dragons or Titans, so only pride is on the line on Sunday.
The Titans moved off the bottom of the table with an upset win over the Sea Eagles last week, but that’s little consolation.
The Dragons are the -190 favorites with NRL betting markets as they look to improve on their position.
Dragons Appreciate Easier Game
The Dragons have lost four of their last five games, but they have been facing harder opposition than many teams.
They lost to the Cowboys, Sharks and Raiders, so we’re not surprised they are winless from the last three weeks.
Facing the Titans is a much easier task but the Titans come off a 44-24 victory, so it’s not going to be an easy contest for the Dragons as the -4½ favorite.
Their playoff chances ended when losing 24-22 to the Raiders, and although they fought bravely to make it a close game, it has been another disappointing season. Not helping matters is some off-field drama, which seems to follow this club.
The sportsbook is giving them respect but there is trepidation.
Titans with Confidence
The Titans suddenly have confidence following a huge upset win over the Sea Eagles and they could parlay that win with another.
Scoring over 40 points isn’t a common situation for the Titans, who scored only 14 points against the Storm and 12 points against the Broncos.
David Fifita was at his brilliant best but he has left it late.
“This is what David Fifita is capable of,” analyst Paul Vautin told Nine.com.au. “It’s bang, bang, bang. ‘Get out of my way, you bludgers!’ And away he goes. That’s what he should do every time he’s got the ball.”
Despite being betting online underdogs, the Titans could be a good bet. They have the wind beneath their sails and confidence is a beautiful thing for this struggling franchise.
We expect money to come for the Titans in late betting markets. They started the year with plenty of betting support and it could be the case over the last few weeks.
Dragons vs Titans Head-to-Head
The Dragons have a 16-10 advantage over the Titans, but it has been the Titans with the recent dominance.
They won 20-16 at home earlier this year, which followed a 32-10 victory in 2021. They should give the Titans more confidence, especially the win last year, which came on the road.

Dragons vs Titans Prediction
We’re not keen on backing the Dragons at the -190 price, so we’re locking in the Titans to win back-to-back games.
They found something last week, and although it’s too late to have any major impact on their season, finishing strongly is a good thing.
The +145 and +4½ is worth taking in what should be a close game. It comes down to which team turns up with more passion to impress their fans.
