All Blacks Strengthening

It has been one-way traffic in rugby betting markets for the New Zealand All Blacks, who are -21½ favorites to beat the visiting Argentina Pumas.

With the All Blacks and Pumas coming off huge wins, it should be another fantastic Rugby Championship game. With fine weather expected in Christchurch, it could be a high-scoring contest between two of the most exciting teams in the world.

No Need to Panic

The New Zealand public was calling for the coach’s head after losing a test series to Ireland and losing their first Rugby Championship test against South Africa.

However, following an impressive win over the Springboks, coach Ian Foster keeps his job till after the World Cup and all is right in Kiwiland.

Beating Argentina is typically a given for the All Blacks, who are the overwhelming -1800 favorites to win consecutive games. They have an impressive record against Argentina, especially playing at home.

Betting online markets reflect that, and although it’s not the best team the All Blacks could field, they don’t often need a full-strength team to beat the Pumas.

It’s great for us to be able to return to Christchurch,” Foster told New Zealand Herald. “The All Blacks have such a rich history here and it’s exciting to build on that.

The recent form of Argentina makes this a test one that we are looking forward to. And the fact that the Rugby Championship is incredibly even means this test is vital to us.”

Pumas Pummel Opposition

It’s not often you see the Pumas produce the goods in such emphatic fashion, but their win against Australia was impressive.

It was a great bounce-back performance after losing the first test at home, but now a stronger challenge comes via the All Blacks, who are always tough to beat at home.

Thankfully for the Pumas, the game isn’t being played at Eden Park. However, facing them in Christchurch is still a daunting task.

Rugby odds aren’t giving them much chance of winning at +750, which is fair given their record against the All Blacks. However, beating Australia 48-17 sent a statement to the rest of the Rugby Championship contenders.

If the Pumas bring their best, it could be a close game. Covering the 21½ points is easily achievable, especially if the All Blacks don’t bring their best.

New Zealand vs Argentina Head-to-Head

The All Blacks have a commanding 31-1-1 record against Argentina, which is about as dominant as it gets.

New Zealand is a perfect 15-0 when playing at home, but bettors are looking at the points spread market for this game.

We can’t see Argentina winning outright, but it’s good enough to keep it close.

New Zealand vs Argentina Prediction

New Zealand will have too many guns for Argentina but it should be a closer game than the bookmakers predict.

We’re prepared to take the Pumas with the points as the All Blacks don’t play as well in Christchurch as they do in Auckland.

Coupled with Argentina’s impressive win against Australia, it should do enough to make a game of it.
