Must-Bet Cross-Sport Parlay: Best Bets For Weekend’s Big Showdowns

Like Bad Boys: Ride or Die, we kick off June with a bang. The UEFA Champions League Final headlines a three-leg parlay featuring a heavyweight tilt from Riyadh and UFC 302’s main event. The best part is we found betting lines at great value. No individual lines are shorter than -200 here. From the best soccer odds onwards, we’re diving in headfirst, just like Mike and Marcus.

Best Bets to Parlay This Weekend

Champions League: Real Madrid Handles BVB

Real Madrid is the biggest soccer brand in the world. And that’s for a good reason: they keep winning. Check it: Los Blancos have 14 UEFA Champions League titles. That is more than any other club’s Finals appearances. And Real Madrid is taking on a “mid” team at best in Borussia Dortmund.

No offense to Die Borussen. But they do not do anything excellently. They’re very good in a lot of things but that won’t cut it against Real Madrid, which boasts superior talent and coaching. On top of that, Dortmund has average defense and has beaten Real Madrid just once in their last seven meetings – a 4-1 win in 2013.

Our only concern with Real Madrid is how they may concede an early goal. Carlo Ancelotti’s club can be too comfortable at times, especially without the ball. They also play better when playing with a lead. Thankfully, Dortmund has scored just one goal in four of their last five matches. They are not the club to pressure Real Madrid. So bet online on Reyes de Europa to clinch a 15th trophy.

Champion League Pick: Real Madrid (-165)

Boxing: Zhang Continues Wilder’s Downfall

Deontay Wilder was once the most-feared boxer in the world. But after a string of losses, on top of doing ayahuasca, his best days are behind him. He was set up to meet Anthony Joshua in a big showdown last December. But he got upset by Joseph Parker in a bout where he did not look like himself. Furthermore, he sounded too polite in his defeat.

“Sorry if I let anyone down. But we’ll be back, that’s the good thing about it. This is not the end, we’ll be back,” he posted on his Instagram. This is not the Wilder we should be betting online. The Wilder that crushed his opponents and fought with reckless abandon is the guy who we’d bet at +130. But the hunger does not seem to be there. He may be ready to hang it up.

The same can’t be said for Zhilei Zhang, who is hungry to bounce back after also losing to Parker. “Big Bang” not only hits hard, as seen with his 21 KOs, but he’s better technically. He’s also bigger than Wilder and may be heavier once they get in the ring. He’s got the edge mentally and physically. So he’s a solid parlay piece for this Saturday.

Boxing Pick: Zhilei Zhang (-160)

UFC 302: Makhachev Ends Poirier Quickly

Every MMA fan and their mom loves Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier. He’s got a fan-friendly fighting style and has done it all outside of winning the undisputed belt. Unfortunately, he’ll join the likes of Donald Cerrone in going to the UFC Hall of Fame without it. Islam Makhachev is levels above Poirier and will make short work of him.

Unlike his close friend and training partner, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Makhachev is a proficient striker. And he’s not one to lead with it, so he’ll wait for Poirier to overcommit. From there, Makhachev can get Poirier down and finish him.

Poirier’s been adamant about getting a guillotine choke even if he’s never finished anyone with it. If he attempts that, he may just wear himself out and get finished. Either way, we don’t see Poirier lasting longer than 2½ rounds. Makhachev will finish him and send him off into the sunset. As such, the ‘under’ has the best betting odds for the parlay.

UFC Pick: Under 2½ (-180)

Questions of the Day

How many bets should you place in a parlay?

It all depends on your preference. However, the more bets you put in a parlay, the harder it is to cash. Settle with two to three bets.
