Time to Attack
At the time of writing, apart from England’s 6-2 victory over Iran, no other 2022 World Cup match has had more than three goals in total. I think that’s going to change thanks to Brazil and Serbia since we’re talking about two of the best attacking units in the world. Buckle up because we’ve plenty of FIFA World Cup predictions for you to consider.
Half Time – Full Time
Let’s see. Brazil totally deserves to be the betting online favorite, and I think the Verdeamarela will win, but it’s not going to be a walk in the park. In fact, the first half is going to end with a draw. Good thing Tite, Brazil’s head coach, called up nine strikers because he’s going to need most of them during the second half in order to get the three points.
- Picks: Half Time – Full Time: Draw – Brazil (+300) / Winning Margin: Brazil by 1 (+275)
Goals, Goals, Goals
Remember Sabrina’s hit song Boys, Boys, Boys? Well, thanks to this game the new version is going to be called Goals, Goals, Goals. I mean, Neymar, Raphinha, Gabriel Jesus, Richarlison, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Dusan Vlahovic, Luka Jovic, and Dusan Tadic. Most of them could end up on the pitch at the same time. No way this match ends with three goals or less. Plus, both teams scored five goals in their last tune-up match.
- Picks: Both Teams to Score in the Match – Yes (-120) / Brazil and Total Over 3½ (+275)
No Time to Waste
So … my soccer prediction is 3-2 favoring Brazil. Therefore, the first goal must be achieved relatively quickly. Plus, Brazil scored prior to the 12-minute mark against Tunisia and Ghana, the last two teams the Verdeamarela faced prior to soccer’s grandest stage. They like to score quickly in order to reduce the pressure. As if that wasn’t enough, Serbia did the same in its last match against Bahrain, scoring the first of five goals only eight minutes into the game. In other words, expect an early score.
- Picks: Time of First Goal Brackets – 11-20 minutes (+375)
Brazil’s attacking players are very slick, so much so that defenders usually end up committing a foul to stop them. Some teams go a lot of games without taking a penalty, but not the Verdeamarela. Believe it or not, Brazil scored on four penalties in its last three games. All were taken by Neymar.
- Picks: Brazil to score a Penalty (+330)
