Back-to-Back for Real Madrid?
Los Blancos Haven’t Won Two Straight La Liga Titles Since 2008
No Mbappe, No Problem
Real Madrid failed to sign Kylian Mbappe, but Los Blancos didn’t sit idly by. Besides signing Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni, they made sure to retain Vinicius Junior, one of the most promising young stars out there. They also renewed Luka Modric’s contract, so he’ll return as well. In other words, Los Blancos will have the perfect balance between experienced and young players.
One of those experienced players is Karim Benzema, who last season finished as the top scorer in La Liga with 27 goals. He also finished as the top scorer in the UEFA Champions League with 15 goals. There’s no doubt that he’s the main reason for Real Madrid to come in as the betting online favorite to win the La Liga title at +110.

Los Blancos parted ways with Gareth Bale, Isco Alarcon and Marcelo but none of them played much last season. They could still make some moves, including signing another offensive weapon such as Christopher Nkunku or Raheem Sterling.
Barcelona
As expected, Barcelona comes in as Real Madrid’s biggest threat at +140. Next will be Xavi Hernandez’s first full season as the team’s manager, something that could end up making a huge difference. Last year, he replaced Ronald Koeman and managed to turn things around, enough for Los Azulgranas to finish as the runners-up.
Los Azulgranas’ attacking unit is the main reason for you to consider including them in your soccer picks. We’re talking about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres, Pedri, Ansu Fati and Memphis Depay. As if that wasn’t enough, Barcelona is interested in signing Robert Lewandowski, who already said that the interest is mutual.
Atletico Madrid
In 2021-22, Atletico Madrid suffered more than expected to finish third, 15 points behind Real Madrid. To be fair, they struggled a lot with injuries, especially Joao Felix, who basically missed the second half of the season.
Diego Simeone, who has been in charge of the team since 2011, will be back. Angel Correa, last season’s top scorer with 12 goals, will also return. Luis Suarez, who scored 32 goals in two seasons with Los Colchoneros, won’t be back. They should be fine as their roster also includes Antoine Griezmann.
Los Colchoneros are offering a +550. Considering they’ve been the only team capable of winning the title, besides Real Madrid and Barcelona, in the last 10 years, that’s very tempting.
Sevilla
For much of the previous season, Sevilla was Real Madrid’s biggest threat. In the end, they finished fourth with 70 points (18-16-4). They lost fewer games than Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Plus, no other team allowed fewer goals than them with 30.
Rumor has it that Los Rojiblancos are interested in signing Ivan Ilic, Fran Garcia and Ben Brereton. Exactly, no superstars for Sevilla, but they’ve never needed them to put up a good fight. Let’s not forget that Los Rojiblancos won the UEFA Europa League title four times over the last 10 years.
They’re offering a +1600 price in the sportsbook to dethrone Real Madrid. They are last team to offer a price under +4000.
Dark Horses
There are several teams that could pull off a historic soccer betting upset, but we’re going to focus on Real Betis (+10000) and Villarreal (+4000). Why? Because both will be highly motivated. Real Betis ended up winning the Copa del Rey while Villarreal reached the UEFA Champions League semifinals. Los Verdiblancos eliminated teams such as Sevilla and Real Sociedad, while the Yellow Submarine eliminated Juventus and Bayern Munich.
