World Cup Future Betting Odds: Brazil Too Short To Be Backed

Our soccer experts take a look through the teams that are likely to fight for the trophy, but they also share their 2022 World Cup top futures and dark horses of the tournament. Our sportsbook is preparing world-class coverage for the entire tournament.

Favorites: Brazil and France

Brazil and France are favorites for Qatar on the back of an impressive qualifying campaign, just ahead of England installed as third favorites. Brazil’s name has often been found at the head of the World Cup betting markets and it’s no surprise to see them being huge favorites to lift the trophy Qatar 2022, less than 11 months ahead of the tournament. They are priced at +600 to go all the way according to the latest soccer odds, together with reigning champs France.

It has been a long time since a South American nation has won the World Cup (16 years). Brazil will have a fresh squad with many young and talented players inside their squad. They’ve won the tournament on five different occasions which is more than any other nation in the world. They were the first South American team to qualify, breezing through with six fixtures to go till the end of the campaign.

The team is fully packed with top players from the Premier League like Ederson, Fabinho, Gabriel Jesus Raphinha, Fred and Roberto Firmino, all playing important roles for their clubs. On top of that they have Vinicius Junior who’s enjoying a stellar season with Real Madrid and of course Neymar, currently injured but expected to be at his peak in December.

On the other side, France’s talent pool is extremely deep giving Didier Deschamps huge headaches each time he’s due to call the players for international duty. The reigning champs arrived at Euro 2020 as the big favorites due to their squad and the consistency of their game in the last five years, but they were only eliminated in the round of 16. Historically, each tournament of major teams, especially World Cups and Euros, gives us the early elimination of a candidate for the title. Although it is hard to defend the World Cup title, France has many notable young players, combined with plenty of experience such as Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.

Dark Horse: Croatia

Coach Zlatko Dalic, who masterminded the run to last year’s World Cup final, has gradually reconstructed Croatia, a squad that lost Mario Mandzukic, Danijel Subasic and Vedran Corluka to retirement. He has signed a new contract with the Croatian Football Federation that will see him remain in charge until EURO 2024.

He took over the Croatian national team in October 2017 and managed to lead it to the FIFA World Cup in Russia where they finished runners-up, becoming the first Croatian coach in the history to qualify for three major tournaments when they won Group H and qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

They are one of the outsiders, but they have a superb squad. Real Madrid’s Luka Modric is their leader, but they also have players like Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic from the Serie A winners Inter Milan, Mateo Kovacic, who won the Champions League with Chelsea, Ante Rebic from AC Milan, and many more important players in the German Bundesliga or in the Spanish La Liga. They are priced at +5000 to win the tournament and if you’re betting online, you can make great profit with them because they will surely qualify further from the group stage.

Our Pick: Germany

Germany was the most impressive team in the World Cup European qualifiers under their new manager Hansi Flick. Rejuvenated, they won all seven qualification games, scoring 31 goals and conceding just twice in the process. Germany boasts an impressive combo of young talent and experienced players, and crucially, are a well-rounded team.

They do not rely on individuals, with 12 different players scoring since Flick took charge, one of the most important characteristics inside a team. Over the next few months, Flick is going to solidify his plans, squad, and strategy. He will start forging relationships between the players and building his strategy to win next year’s World Cup. We will definitely include them in our soccer picks and parlays in every single match.

Let’s not forget that he was the first person to recognize the great potential of playing Joshua Kimmich next to Leon Goretzka in the central midfield and that during his Bayern Munich period he wanted to sign both Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. Let’s not forget that Germany needs time to create a new identity, character and leadership but they have the necessary weapons to do that. They are overpriced at +1000 and we will take them as our official pick to win the tournament.

Pick: Germany to lift the trophy at +1000
