Bundesliga Winner

Bayern Munich became the first team ever to win 10 titles in a row in one of Europe’s top five leagues. It was also an historic record within the country, as no other German side has ever won a double-digit number of league titles. In the 21st century alone, Bayern has won 17 titles, while finishing second thrice.

They lost their goal machine in Robert Lewandowski, who broke almost all the Bundesliga records. The Bavarian giants have had eight seasons of a player who assured them at least 40 goals per season across all of the competitions. Lewandowski’s now in Barcelona, Bayern must now adapt and fill in the gaps, which is always a difficult task. So, how to build a post-Lewandowski Bayern? Julian Nagelsmann is one of the leading young coaches in Europe. He must now reinvent the system. With Sadio Mane and Matthijs de Ligt as important transfers of the summer, Bayern has the skill.. Even without Lewandowski, they are huge favorite to win their 11th domestic league in a row. They are priced at -500 with the latest soccer odds.
Dortmund ended eight points behind Bayern Munich last season. Do the perennial bridesmaids take down Bayern? They have a new/old manager with Edin Terzic replacing Marco Rose, they lost Erling Haaland (to Manchester City), but they replaced with Sebastien Haller. They also signed one of the highly-skilled players in Europe, Karim Adeyemi. There’s a rock-solid defensive line by bringing Nico Schlotterbeck (from Freiburg) and Niklas Sule (from Bayern Munich), two of the best centre-back in the German top-flight league.
Both Sule and Schlotterbeck rank high ball progression and passing ability as strong and relatively pacey defenders. In a three-at-the-back formation, Schlotterbeck would slot into a left centre-back position, Sule will go on the right. Bayern indeed should win the title, but don’t have money locked for an entire season at -500. That’s why we prefer backing Dortmund at +800
Pick: Dortmund to win the title (+800)
Bundesliga Darkhorse

RB Leipzig could challenge for the second spot, but struggle to match Bayern. They’ve yet to invest and sign world-class players, and lost many of their key players, including Nordi Mukiele (to Paris Saint-Germain). They did maintain their best player in Christopher Nkunku. That’s not sufficient as they’re also playing also in the Champions League and lack depth. They are third favorites to win the trophy, priced at +1200, but if you’re betting online, do not tough. For a top-four finish, they’re listed at -300. That’s no value.
So, the real darkhorse of the season should be Eintracht Frankfurt. The Europa League winners neglected their domestic league last term, eventually going all the way in Europe. They’ve been very busy so far in the summer transfer window, bringing in experienced players like Mario Gotze (from PSV) and Lucas Alaris (from Leverkusen), while Jens Petter Hauge (from AC Milan) became a permanent move. They managed to keep their best player, Filip Kostic, rumored to extend his contract with the team. We don’t expect them to win the title, but finishing in the top four has them priced at +350.
Pick: Eintracht Frankfurt top four (+350)
Bundesliga To Get Relegated
Schalke is making a return to Bundesliga after a season in the lower division, having been relegated 2020/2021. It was the first time they’d spent any time in the second-tier league since the 1990/91 campaign. It’s no surprise to see them jump back into Bundesliga.
Since the formation of the Bundesliga in 1963, Werder Bremen have only spent two seasons outside of the top flight league. They are back in the top-flight league, but change just about their entire squad now. Many of their new players have no experience Hertha Berlin retained their top-flight status by beating second-tier Hamburg SV.
There won’t be another Greuther Furth-like side, getting relegated at the end of the last season with just 18 points earned in 34 fixtures. It will be very close this time, all the teams expected to pass the 30-point mark. It’s very tough to call, but Werder Bremen is our take this season. Do not include them in your soccer picks and parlays and fade them.
