Liverpool Keep UCL Chances Alive, Chelsea in Trouble
“Reds” Remain One Point Behind “Blues”
Manchester City returned to the winning column and celebrated the title singing Oasis, but not all teams can afford to do that, at least not yet. Leicester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool are fighting to finish in the top four because the fifth place would have to settle with playing in the UEFA Europa League
Let’s take a look at what happened in the last English Premier League fixture and how the sports betting odds for what’s coming are set.

English Premier League Breakdown
Miracle in West Bromwich
Last Sunday, Liverpool defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-1 with a goal from… Alisson Becker! That’s right, the goalkeeper went into striker mode and scored in the 95th minute after receiving a gorgeous corner kick pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
“It’s for my family, for the boys. What a fight, sometimes we are fighting and fighting, and things are just not happening for us. Just scoring this goal, I’m really, really happy to help them because they fight a lot, we fight a lot together and we have a strong goal to achieve the Champions League because we won it once and you know that everything started with qualification,” said Alisson after the game.
Thanks to that huge victory, and Chelsea losing 1-0 to Arsenal, the “Reds” remain in the race for a UEFA Champions League ticket. Right now, Chelsea sits in fourth place with 64 points, one more than Liverpool, and there are two games left.
The “Blues” will face Leicester City and Aston Villa, while the “Reds” will face Burnley and Crystal Palace. Both are huge favorites at the EPL Odds, but Chelsea’s opponents could be more problematic.
Speaking of Leicester City, the “Foxes” are in third place with 66 points, which means they also need good results in the last two games. After facing Chelsea, they’ll collide with Tottenham.
We didn’t forget about Manchester United — the thing is that the “Red Devils” already secured a spot in next year’s Champions League despite losing their last two games against Liverpool and Leicester City. Let’s be honest, they’re already thinking about the UEFA Europa League Final against Villarreal, scheduled for May 26.
Individually, the Golden Boot race has become very interesting, because we have Harry Kane (Tottenham) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) with 22 goals each and two games left. Kane is the favorite to win it, but Salah is used to leading Liverpool in times of need, and they really need him to score in order to gain access to the UCL.
Believe
Tottenham and West Ham United are also in the mix, but they’re aiming more for fifth place. Both have 59 points, but they not only need to win, they also need Liverpool to lose their two remaining games.
West Ham won only one of their last five games, but they should not have too much trouble beating West Bromwich Albion and Southampton, while the “Spurs” have to beat Aston Villa and Leicester City.
Everton and Arsenal are already out of the equation. It’s time to do some rebuilding, especially for the “Gunners”.
Not a Chance
Fulham, West Bromwich Albion, and Sheffield United couldn’t avoid relegation, but last Sunday Sheffield defeated Everton 1-0. That’s the beauty of the English Premier League, literally, anything can happen.
Fulham’s last EPL game will be against Newcastle, while Sheffield United will face Burnley and Albion will face Leeds United. Next season, these three teams will play in the Championship, and Norwich, Watford, and Brentford will take their place in the Premier League.
