Premier League 2023-24 Season Lookahead

The newly promoted clubs, Burnley, Sheffield United, and Luton Town, will hope to emulate the feat of the 2022-23 promoted group and retain their Premier League status. Our sportsbook offers the best markets and Premier League live betting in the English top-flight league.

Who Will Win EPL Title?

Manchester City was crowned champion of the 2022-23 Premier League season with three games to spare, marking its third consecutive success. Now, the Citizens aim to become the first-ever team to win the English top flight four times in a row.

Man City is one of just five clubs to have won the English top flight three years in a row and the second to do in the EPL era, with Manchester United achieving it twice. For a while, it didn’t look like that would happen, as Arsenal stormed clear at the top of the table and led the race for a long time.

There was a big gap to the rest of the top four, completed by Man United and Newcastle, and many expect them to be in the title race next season. Also tipped to be involved are Liverpool and Chelsea, who will need to improve on underwhelming seasons, particularly the latter.

The Citizens are clear favorites, as they always are before every campaign. But the gulf between them and the second-favorites seems quite significant even at this early stage. If you’re betting online, there’s no value on backing them quite yet.

While some will call the 2022-23 campaign a fluke, Arsenal looks strong and can surely build on what was a good season overall. Perhaps a surprise name on this list, Liverpool currently has the same odds to win the 2023-24 title as Arsenal, despite finishing 17 points below the Gunners.

Back in the Champions League, the next goal for Newcastle is making sure to become regulars in the top four, and why not, involved in the title race. They are expected to sign world-class players this summer, and we expect them to enjoy another great season.

After a good first year under Erik ten Hag, it’ll be interesting to see how Man United fares this upcoming season and what they will bring to the table. They must extend their brilliant home record and improve on the road if they want to challenge for the title.

Mauricio Pochettino is confirmed to take over Chelsea in July. With all the money they have spent – and reportedly look set to spend in the summer transfer window – it would be an absolute nightmare not to finish in the top four, but can you trust them enough to include them in your Premier League picks and parlays?

Who Will Get Relegated?

Burnley and Sheffield United confirmed their Premier League returns after securing the two automatic promotion places offered by the Championship. In a thrilling playoff final, Luton secured a penalty shoot-out win, ensuring that they return to the top tier of English football for the first time since 1992. Luton’s path to the Championship Playoff Final included a thrilling 2-0 victory over Sunderland in the semifinals. The promotion sees Luton match Wimbledon’s record of going from non-league football to the top flight within nine years.

Their home at Kenilworth Road, built in 1905, will be a culture shock for rival players and supporters, but so will Rob Edwards‘ team of hungry players, many of whom have earned their shot by carving out careers in the lower leagues. Luton will have to scrap for every point they earn, and we don’t expect them to stay up.

Another newly-promoted side, Sheffield United, finished second in the Championship and is back in the Premier League after just two seasons away. The last time they were promoted to the top flight, they suffered second-season syndrome returning to the second tier.

For the second season in a row, Everton survived by the skin of their teeth. Nottingham Forest finished four points above the red zone, and we expect them to struggle next term and return to the Championship.
