Lazio was Serie A’s second-highest scorer under Maurizio Sarri the last term and they should be an attacking force once again. Our sportsbook is offering a great range of betting markets and props for the Spanish top-flight league.
Ciro Immobile: Lazio (+400)
Comparisons between players in different generations often spark furious but ultimately pointless debates on the internet. Ciro Immobile can be content with the fact he has elevated himself above a number of the finest forwards to have ever graced the Italian top-flight league.
Known for his perseverance, longevity, and stamina, Immobile first won the Capocannoniere in the 2013/14 campaign at Torino, hitting 22 goals. He finished the 2017/2018 campaign as the joint leading scorer on 29 at Lazio alongside Inter’s Mauro Icardi before a milestone season a year later in which he netted 36 goals. Last season he finished with 27 goals scored winning his fourth Capocannoniere award.
How not to take him at +400? Yes, we have a tone of great strikers this year in the Italian Serie A but we can’t avoid backing Immobile so if you’re betting online you should sprinkle a small stake on him. We forgot to mention… he’s also taking the penalties for Lazio and that will definitely help. A speedy poacher capable of finishing from all manner of distances and angles, he’s also deadly against the top clubs in Italy.
Effective in the air and always well positioned for through balls and crosses, the player with the golden touch has a phenomenal record of 182 goals in 291 Serie A fixtures so you can’t deny his skills and abilities or say that he’s a fluke.
Romelu Lukaku: Inter Milan (+330)
Romeo Lukaku’s saga is over. He has been named as the best overall MVP of Serie A after Inter Milan won the league title for the first time in 11 years in the 2020/21 campaign and immediately moved to Chelsea, who broke the club transfer record to re-sign the striker for $120m.
Turned out the grass wasn’t greener on the other side for Romelu Lukaku since returning to the Premier League. He is one of the best strikers in the world but he had a tough time, not to say more, dealing with injury and readapting to the EPL style. His inconsistent performance under Thomas Tuchel made him regret the transfer decision and after the first half of the season, he declared in the media he wants to return to Inter.
He only racked up 14 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions. His statistics are decent but as a formidable striker, the numbers are less-credible as per his usual Premier League standards. Less than a year after signing for Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku has rejoined Inter for a loan fee of $8m plus add-ons.
Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 games for Inter and he’s once again expected to be one of Serie A’s top scorers being priced at +330 with the latest soccer odds to win the Golden Boot. He reunited with Lautaro Martinez to form a deadly duo and help Inter to regain the title.
Dusan Vlahovic: Juventus (+330)
Back in January, after a superb first half of the season, the Serbian international Dusan Vlahovic completed a $67m move from Fiorentina to Juventus and promises to be one of the best strikers in Italy. Arsenal and Tottenham were admirers of the 22-year-old but were unable to meet Fiorentina’s asking price.
Vlahovic came to prominence last season when he scored 21 goals in 40 appearances for Fiorentina and has continued his impressive form with 20 goals in 24 games in all competitions last term for his former team. He only scored nine goals for Juventus across all competitions last season but he finished the Serie A campaign with 24 goals netted, just three behind Ciro Immobile.
Dusan Vlahovic has targeted scoring 30 goals and leading Juventus to the Serie A title in his first full season in Turin, as he bids to become the first player to win the Capocannoniere and the Scudetto in the same campaign since 2008/09. Since making his Serie A debut in September 2018, Vlahovic has hit 51 goals in just 113 appearances in the competition. We will definitely include him in our soccer picks and parlays but we will not back him to finish the season as Serie A’s top scorer.
