Exciting Arrival at Galatasaray

The transfer of Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray is particularly surprising given the reports of interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, two giants in the Premier League. Both clubs were rumored to be keen on signing the striker after his remarkable success last season, where he finished as Serie A’s top scorer with 26 goals, a record-high for an African player.

This performance helped Napoli win their first Serie A title in 33 years. Additionally, he won the Serie A Best Young Player award in the 2021/22 season and was named Serie A Footballer of the Year.

Despite the allure of the Premier League, Osimhen sees Galatasaray as an opportunity to lead a major club towards winning titles. The Turkish club competes both domestically in the Super Lig and in European competitions.

Osimhen’s arrival bolsters Galatasaray’s attacking options, adding to an already impressive lineup that includes Mauro Icardi, Dries Mertens, Michy Batshuayi, and Wilfried Zaha.

If you’re looking for soccer player props, Osimhen is the player to watch as he’s set to score many goals in the Turkish top-flight league.

Julian Alvarez Signs With Atletico Madrid in Blockbuster Move

Atletico Madrid has completed a $107m deal to sign Argentina forward Julian Alvarez from Manchester City. Alvarez has signed a six-year contract with Diego Simeone’s side.

He trades Manchester for Madrid after two-and-a-half wildly successful years in sky blue, during which he collected six trophies while netting 36 goals in 103 appearances. During his time at City, Alvarez also won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, as well as the Copa America earlier this year.

The $107m fee makes it a club-record sale for City. It is the fifth-biggest sale to a foreign club in Premier League history.

Dani Olmo Rejoined Boyhood Club Barcelona

The Terrassa-born 26-year-old enjoyed an incredible stint in the Bundesliga, and leaves as one of Europe’s best attacking midfield-forward hybrids. Despite injury during the 2023/24 campaign, it was still one of Olmo’s best, registering eight goals, his highest total in a single season for RB Leipzig.

Included in that figure was a season-opening hat-trick against Bayern Munich in the DFL Supercup, earning Leipzig the third major trophy in their history, all achieved with Olmo in their colors.

The Spain international has signed a six-year contract at the club until June 2030, with a release clause set at $500m.

Juventus Completed the Signing of Teun Koopmeiners

Juventus has completed the signing of Dutch midfielder Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta for a fee of $60m.

The 26-year-old was a key part of the Atalanta side which beat Bayer Leverkusen in last May’s Europa League final in Dublin and has signed a five-year deal in Turin.

He can play across midfield and scored 33 goals in the last two seasons for Atalanta. He missed out on a place at Euro 2024 with the Netherlands after picking up a muscular injury in a warm-up match.

Juve finished third in Serie A last season, 23 points behind champions Inter Milan, and have made several signings this summer including Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa and Francisco Conceicao from Porto.

The Italian giants are favorites to win the Serie A trophy ‘without Inter Milan’, being priced at +125 according to the latest BetUS soccer odds.

Bayern Munich Beats Competition, Signs Michael Olise

Bayern Munich has beaten off competition from some of Europe’s top clubs to capture 22-year-old French winger Michael Olise from English Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

Olise signed a four-year contract at the Allianz Arena and became one of the top transfers in the European top five leagues.

Born in London to a Nigerian father and a French-Algerian mother, Olise spent time in the academies of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City before making his senior breakthrough at Reading and then Palace.

Bayern’s new man racked up 82 English top-flight appearances in South London and scored 10 times in just 19 league games last season as Palace ended the year as one of Europe’s most in-form sides under former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner.
