Jarrod Bowen: West Ham Rising Star

Southgate simply cannot ignore Jarrod Bowen. West Ham‘s driving force last season must be called up into the England squad for the 2022 World Cup. It’s obvious visually that Bowen is playing well; the sharpness and cleverness of his movement were excellent all season long. He finished the English Premier League campaign with 12 goals and 10 assists. Only Liverpool’s Mo Salah offered more assists than Bowen last term. We will continue to include him in our soccer picks and parlays and we expect him to have another outstanding season with the Hammers.

Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Jack Grealish have remained pretty much constants in Southgate’s England squads over the past few years, but the manager knows it can’t remain a closed shop. With all three struggling to hit their stride, Southgate may feel extra competition is required during the World Cup. Bowen can provide it.

He earned his first cap back in June during the Nations League campaign. In a group with Hungary, Italy and Germany, England failed to win any of its four games, shockingly losing twice against group underdogs, Hungary. Bowen played just one full match while coming off the bench in the rest.

The Nations League is usually a lower priority anyway but doubly so when games fall at the end of a long and tiring domestic season, so we can’t make a case about his performance. Bowen is already starting his long run-up to try and force his way into the squad for Qatar. Southgate, despite being blessed in the wide attacking areas, is looking to call new players with great potential like Bowen.

Jude Bellingham: Dortmund’s Young Phenom

Despite being just 19 years old, Jude Bellingham has already earned 15 caps for England. He is valued at around $121m, with Liverpool being keen to sign him from the Bundesliga giants. He set an ambitious target of winning the World Cup with England in Qatar later this year.

Bellingham has enjoyed a meteoric rise following his move from Birmingham City to Dortmund in the summer of 2020 and is now one of the most sought-after talents in the game. His brilliant performances for club and country have caught the eye of Europe’s elite, but by the looks of it, he’s not ready to move clubs this season.

He’s a shoo-in to be selected by Southgate for the 2022 World Cup, where England will face Iran, the United States and Wales. He was a member of the England squad that reached the final of Euro 2020 before losing to Italy on penalties. He’s one of the best youngsters in the game and if you’re betting online, you should back him when playing for Dortmund.

Kalvin Phillips: Man City Move Proves to be Wrong

Kalvin Phillips joined Manchester City from Leeds United this summer to compete with Rodri for the holding midfielder role and came on for only two minutes for his Premier League debut against West Ham United. He will be hoping that coming off in the last moments of games will not become a regular occurrence.

Many of the best pundits in the world believe that he will lose his place on England’s squad due to a lack of game time for Manchester City. He’s a defensive-minded player, and in Rodri, the Citizens have got the best defensive midfielder in the league alongside Liverpool’s Fabinho. So it will be very hard for Phillips to earn a starting lineup spot.

Since making his England debut in September 2020, Phillips has become a crucial member of  Southgate’s side, earning 23 international caps. He believes Pep Guardiola will make him a better player with a World Cup looming. England are huge favorites to win their group being priced at -300 according to the latest soccer odds and they are also second favorites, after Brazil, to go all the way and lift the trophy being priced at +550.
