With a 4-2 win vs Bologna, AC Milan climbed to the top of the Serie A table. Level on points with Napoli but trailing in goal difference, AC Milan has an excellent chance to win its first Serie A title in over 10 years.
The season is still young but we’re looking at an uncharacteristically weak Juventus side and a vulnerable defending champion in Inter Milan. To stay atop the table, ACMilan, with -165 soccer odds, will likely need all three points vs a Torino side that recently broke a four game winless streak.

AC Milan vs Torino Betting Preview
Head to Head
Torino equaled its worst ever Serie A defeat with a 7-0 loss at home to A.C. Milan last season. At the San Siro, Milan won the reverse fixture 2-0 and beat Torino in penalties in the Coppa Italia Round of 16.
Il Toro has only beaten Milan three times since 2000 but two of those wins came in 2019. The last 10 Serie A meetings haven’t been as lopsided as this fixture has historically been. Milan has won four and Torino has won two, with four draws. Torino’s last Serie A win at AC Milan came all the way back in 1985.
AC Milan Making Title Run
Zlatan Ibrahimović is undoubtedly one of the greatest strikers of all-time. His second spell with AC Milan has been excellent and the Swede recently became the fourth-oldest player to score a Serie A goal. At 40, he’s aged like a fine wine and he was a crucial part of the 2010-11 Milan team that won the Serie A title.
It’s looking increasingly likely that Milan will be in the thick of the title fight and Ibrahimović’s experience will certainly help. While Milan’s start to the Champions League has been abysmal, its Serie A performances, especially on the offensive end, have been brilliant.
Following a disappointing 1-0 loss to Porto midweek in the UCL, Milan followed it up with a 4-2 win vs a nine-man Bologna. Bologna fought back from a 2-0 deficit, but Ismael Bennacer scored a cracker of a volley to put Milan ahead for good.
In nine Serie A matches, Milan has eight wins and a draw vs Juventus. That’s despite a host of injuries to key players like keeper Mike Maignan, defender Alessandro Florenzi, wingers Ante Rebic and Samu Castillejo and attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz. Milan’s depth, despite its injury problems makes it one of the best Serie A soccer picks.,
Torino Toiling Mid-Table
Torino has come dangerously close to relegation the last two seasons. After a 16th-place finish in 2019-2020, Il Toro finished one place away from the relegation zone last season. With 11 points from nine games, Torino should be encouraged by its start but there have definitely been some bumps in the road.
Prior to a 3-2 win vs Genoa in Matchweek 9, Torino went four consecutive games without a win and has conceded goals in five straight matches. Sitting in 12th place, Torino is comfortably away from the relegation zone and has played some of Serie A’s best teams reasonably close.
In fact, Il Toro hasn’t lost by more than a goal this season and was just nine minutes away from handing Napoli its first draw in Matchweek 8. However, Torino has been an inconsistent pick for betting online. With striker Andrea Belotti still finding his fitness following an injury, Torino will need a big performance to take down AC Milan.
AC Milan has scored 10 goals in its last three Serie A matches and shows no signs of slowing down. However, Torino only conceded a single goal to powerhouses Napoli, Juventus and Lazio, but did give up two goals to Genoa at the weekend.
Milan has also conceded goals in six straight matches in all competitions, which is a somewhat troubling sign. While the totals could wildly vary in this match and the goal line looks accurate, take Milan to win at -165 odds in the BetUS sportsbook.
