The hottest teams in Serie A, Inter and Atalanta are determined to extend their great run of form this weekend when they face Salernitana and AS Roma respectively. Our sportsbook is offering great odds for this two-teamer.
Salernitana vs. Inter: Easy Away Win
Unfortunately, our four Serie A Parlay winning streak came to an end last weekend with Juventus being kept to a 1-1 draw by Venezia. We’re ready to start a new streak with two great picks from round 18.
Last weekend, Inter knew that with AC Milan being kept to a 1-1 draw by Udinese and Napoli losing their second match in a row against Empoli, a win would put them top of the table alone so they decided to destroy relegation-threatened Cagliari beating them 4-0 with Lautaro Martinez scoring a brace while Hakan Calhanoglu and Alexis Sanchez also contributed on the scoreboard.
They travel to play Salernitana in what should be an easy away win and they enter this clash as huge favorites being priced at -450 on the three-way moneyline according to the latest soccer odds. We don’t expect Inter to lose the leading spot till the end of the season. This season looks better than the last one despite losing Antonio Conte, Romelu Lukaku, and Achraf Hakimi
They have awareness and experience, they know how to win games and their new coach, Simone Inzaghi’s charisma makes everyone feel involved giving them more freedom on the pitch, allowing his players to make their own decisions. They have the best squad in the Italian top-flight league, a rock-solid defense, a strong midfield, and a world-class attack.
On the other side, Salernitana will probably return to Serie B at the end of the season as they are sitting bottom of the table with eight points earned in 17 games. They have bigger issues as Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito is the man behind the trustee that formally owns Salernitana and it’s forbidden for one person to own two different clubs in the top tier league. There haven’t been offers to buy Salernitana, so they could be excluded from Serie A if they won’t find buyers till Dec 31.
Salernitana are the worst attacking team in the league with just 11 goals scored in 17 games and the second worst defense with 37 goals allowed in the process. A team to fade in our soccer picks and parlays.
Pick: Inter -2 at -105
Atalanta vs. AS Roma: Serie A Classic
Now well established at the top of the table, third-place Atalanta enter this clash on the back of six Serie A wins in a row and three points behind leaders Inter Milan. AC Milan plays Napoli in the most anticipated match of the round so Atalanta could leapfrog AC Milan in the standings and end this round second in the table. A sensational run of form for Gian Piero Gasperini and his players…
They won their previous two home mutual encounters against AS Roma scoring at least two goals on both occasions. They are out of the Champions League, so their main objective is to win the title and they have the necessary weapons to keep the pace with leaders Inter. They are tipped to end the year with two wins against AS Roma (at home) and Genoa (on the road).
If you’re betting online, Atalanta are one of the hottest teams in Italy and you should keep backing them to win games and score goals. When it comes to their involvement in domestic fixtures containing at least three goals, Atalanta have been fairly consistent of late, with 14 of their last 17 encounters following this scoring pattern.
We expect a high-scoring affair between great attacking teams. This should be a Serie A classic, an entertaining and must-watch weekend clash. The goal-line is set at three and we don’t expect this match to stay under.
Pick: Over 3 goals in the match at -110
