La Liga Two-Team Parlay
Barcelona will be looking to maintain their 11-game unbeaten run in La Liga when they host Osasuna on Sunday. Betis and Bilbao are expected to offer the most entertaining match of the round when they square off on Sunday. Our sportsbook is offering a great range of props and markets in the European top soccer leagues.
Barcelona vs Osasuna
Barcelona’s season started in the worst possible way. Before the end of the first half of La Liga, they were almost out of contention for the title, then were eliminated from the Group Stage of the UEFA Champions League, the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey. However, in recent weeks, their performance has improved and they were able to enter La Liga’s top four and move on to the next round in the Europa League.
They enter this clash on the back of three wins in a row in their domestic league and they are huge favorites to win this clash at -290 on the three-way money according to the latest soccer odds. Barcelona is coming off a lackluster scoreless draw vs. visiting Galatasaray on Thursday in the Europa League.
Xavi Hernandez has triggered an incredible turnaround at Barcelona in almost no time after signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres and Adama Traore from Arsenal, Manchester City and Wolverhampton. respectively.
Torres has been under a bit of investigation for missing crazy sitters in recent weeks, and it was a similar story last weekend against Elche. The Spanish international did score the equalizer but will probably feel he could have hit at least a brace if not a hat trick. Aubameyang’s goals-per-game ratio is outstanding. He has scored five times for Barcelona since his January move from Arsenal, having only taken six shots during that period.
Adama is enjoying the simplicity of what the coach asks him to do, which is receiving the ball high up the pitch and wide, and getting it into the area as fast as he can. Let’s not forget that Adama is one of the fastest players in Europe and he’s deadly on the break and one-on-one with any opponent.
According to the Spanish media, Dortmund star striker Erling Haaland has been convinced that his future lies at the Camp Nou after reportedly meeting with Xavi in Munich last week. That would be huge for the Catalan giants given their ambitions.
On the other side, Osasuna is one of the toughest teams to beat when they are playing on the road. They won six in 13 away games allowing, just 12 goals. Unfortunately for them and for their fans, their away head-to-head record against Barcelona is poor. They lost eight of nine games and they conceded at least four goals in six of their last seven visits. It’s time to start backing Barcelona and include them in our soccer picks and parlays.
Pick: Barcelona -1½ (-105)
Betis vs Bilbao
Betis are winless in their previous four games across all competitions, losing twice in the process. Betis lost 2-1 to city rivals Sevilla, was kept to a 1-1 draw by Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish Cup and lost 3-1 to Atletico Madrid on home soil, which saw them dropping out of the top four for the first time since November. Betis’ main goal this season is undoubtedly the Copa del Rey (they will play in the final against Valencia).
Manuel Pellegrini’s side is enjoying an excellent campaign across all competitions. They are in contention for a Champions League spot and also playing in the Europa League knockout stages, but they have seen a slide in their form of late. They struggle to keep clean sheets, conceding in eight of their previous nine games across all competitions.
On the other side, Bilbao managed to return to winning ways on Monday when they beat bottom-placed Levante 3-1 on home soil. The visitors have been on the outside looking in of the top six of the La Liga table for the past three seasons, and with 11 rounds left this term, they are running out of time to change their fortunes. They could use a win against Betis to close the gap on the European spots, but given their away record (three wins in 13 road games), it will be very difficult for them to return home with the three points.
If you’re betting online, you should always check all available markets and our sportsbook has you covered with a great range of betting markets. Bilbao managed to beat Betis 3-2 in the reverse match and we expect another thrilling encounter between two attacking teams.
