A Relegation Team?
Celta de Vigo have never been among the soccer betting favorites to win La Liga, but Los Celestes are well known for always offering a good fight when playing at home. However, they’ve had a rocky start to the season, perhaps falling to the relegation zone if they lose here.
Speaking of Real Betis, los Verdiblancos are hotter than the Chili Peppers. Right now, they’re the only team capable of scaring Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Even so, they’re the underdogs because, again, Celta de Vigo are considerably better when playing at Balaidos.
Celta de Vigo: Kicking Aspas at Home
There’s no issues with a team led by a veteran, especially when he’s as good as Iago Aspas. The 35-year-old striker has scored a team-leading five goals, more than four teams in total.
He needs some more help, however. Los Celestes dropped their last two games with a horrid 7-1 aggregate, both on the road. They lost, 4-1, to Atletico Madrid, then lost, 3-0, at Valencia. They lost Franco Cervi due to a red card as well.
Things have been much different at home. They lost only once in their last five games dating to last season’s final stretch. It was against Real Madrid. The last home game saw them fulfill their role as betting online favorites against Cadiz, winning, 3-0. Aspas had a brace.
They did score in all five matches, having finished with a clean sheet three times. That’s basically why they dominate the odds board at a +140 price.
Real Betis: Well-Balanced
We weren’t kidding about Real Betis being the only team currently able to scare Real Madrid and Barcelona. Los Verdiblancos sit in third, 5-0-1 with 10 goals scored and only conceding four. Los Blancos are atop the standings (18 points), while Los Azulgranas are two behind.
Los Verdiblancos recently hosted Girona and won by a final of 2-1. Borja Iglesias scored both goals, first via the penalty spot. Iglesias is the main reason to consider the visitors in your soccer picks. He has six goals, that’s second to Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski (eight).
Los Verdiblancos are also playing in the UEFA Europa League, in which they’re 2-0-0 after defeating HJK (2-0) and Ludogorets (3-2). Hotter than hot sauce.
Priced at +195 in the sportsbook makes them a really tempting underdog, having lost only once in their last seven games on the road, 2-1 against Real Madrid.

So, last season, Celta de Vigo snatched four points between the teams. Los Celestes stunned at Benito Villamarin Stadium, a 2-0 victory. Aspas was the Man of the Match (both goals).
They later met in Vigo in a scoreless draw. It was a boring match in every sense of the word. having ended with only three yellow cards. That’s not the norm when these two meet. In fact, the total has gone over in six of their last 10.

Celta de Vigo vs Real Betis Prediction
We’re just gonna say it’s crazy that Real Betis come in as the underdog. They’ve been practically flawless, Iglesias is currently one of the best players in La Liga and Manuel Pellegrini is a very experienced coach that has reestablished a winning mentality there, regardless of where they play. Los Verdiblancos at +195 is too good not to take. We didn’t forget about Aspas and Celta de Vigo, as they’ll contribute to the total going over 2½ goals.
Score Prediction: Real Betis 2, Celta de Vigo 1
