Underwhelming England Tops Odds at Euro 2024

England have so many amazing players, so why are they almost unwatchable right now? The Three Lions are effectively through to the knockout stage after winning their group.

However, as their dreadful displays against Denmark and Slovenia hammered home, they’ve got problems all over the pitch, and manager Gareth Southgate still doesn’t look capable of solving them.

Changes need to be made against Slovakia in the knockout stages, because if they can’t sort out the make-up of their midfield or figure out the best way to use Harry Kane in the attacking line, they’ll be eliminated by the first good team they face.

We can’t believe they are still favorites to win trophy priced at +350, according to the latest soccer odds. They should have an easy path to the semifinals but “it’s not coming home.”

Bet on Spain to Lift Championship Trophy

Despite not being heavily touted in pre-tournament discussions about the likely winner of Euro 2024, Spain find themselves at the center of the conversation following the group stage.

Luis de la Fuente’s side took care of business against Croatia and Italy, their two biggest challenges in the group, without conceding a goal.

Indeed, their 1-0 result over Italy might not have looked as dominant as the 3-0 win versus Croatia on paper, but the performance in the former is one of the best we’ve seen from any side in the tournament, especially considering the strength of the opponent.

Spain will now be looking ahead with a view to maintaining their strong recent record at the European Championship, reaching at least the semifinal in three of the last four editions. That includes their two triumphs in 2008 and 2012.

They will play Georgia in the Round of 16 and, of course, they should easily advance in the quarterfinals where they will probably play Germany. They are priced at +450 to win the tournament – 12 years since the last time they won the trophy.

Home Edge for Germany?

Germany’s victory over Hungary and the draw against Switzerland may not have been quite as thrilling as their rout of Scotland, but there’s just no denying that Julian Nagelsmann is building some serious momentum with the host nation

For Nagelsmann and his players, playing in front of partisan crowds and a German public roaring them on will provide extra incentive.

The hosts have two of Europe’s most exciting youngsters at their disposal in FlorianWirtz and Jamal Musiala, and they are teaming up impressively.

The former has enjoyed his best campaign since turning professional, winning the Bundesliga title as well as the Player of the Season award.

He didn’t take long to live up to his billing, hitting the ground running at Euro 2024 by opening the scoring just 10 minutes into the 5-1 defeat of Scotland.

Germany are priced at +500 to win the tournament. First, they have to deal with Denmark in the Round of 16 in Dortmund on Saturday.

France in Poor Form, Not Justifying Odds at Euro 2024

Even though they’re still unbeaten after three games, France finished second in its group. The performances haven’t been enough. They haven’t been convincing throughout. They haven’t shown that the best players are playing to their best form, and so there is room for criticism.

They’ve been here before, they have a manager at the helm who has seen it all and guided them past such issues and they have a collection of elite talents in the squad, particularly in the attacking half of the pitch.

They will definitely bring their A game to the knockout stages, but will that be enough to lift the trophy? They will play Belgium in the Round of 16 and they will win and probably play Portugal in the quarterfinals. They are priced at +500 in online betting to go all the way and lift the trophy.
