Eintracht Frankfurt: Revived

Mario Gotze helped Oliver Glasner’s Eintracht Frankfurt bring an end to Union Berlin’s club-record 14-match unbeaten run in the Bundesliga, closing to within three points of Urs Fischer’s league leaders. Frankfurt has scored three or more goals in three of their past six games, but at the same time, they failed to keep clean sheets in eight of their last 10.

A dismal 3-0 effort against Sporting Lisbon in their opener, the Germans then snapped Marseille’s streak of five successive home victories with a smart approach at the Stade Velodrome. While their home form is not fantastic (having lost three times at Deutsche Bank Park already this season), the Europa League reigning champs are clearly a dangerous side, who shouldn’t be taken lightly by Antonio Conte’s men.

Versatile midfielder Kristijan Jakic was injured while on international duty (Croatia), and will probably sit this one out. New transfer Jerome Onguene will have to wait once again to make his Frankfurt debut (injured hip). A slow start in Bundesliga behind them, Frankfurt now seems to be in good form entering this match. They have won four of the last five games in the league, three in a row across all of the competitions. If you’re betting online, however, we wouldn’t recommend backing them Tuesday against Tottenham

Tottenham: Looking to bounce back

Tottenham must dust themselves off quickly after Saturday’s loss, with Conte’s side back in Champions League action. Conte’s worried about Spurs’ mounting injury issues, with Dejan Kulusevksi, Ben Davies, and Lucas Moura all struggling currently. Clement Lenglet is likely to start at the back, with Richarlison alongside Harry Kane and Heung-min Son in the front.

The Lilywhites became the first English side to lose to Sporting Lisbon in Europe’s top competition three weeks ago, as the former Spurs’ academy player Marcus Edwards led the Portuguese side in a 2-0 win. They’re now sitting second in the UCL group standings, equal on points with Tuesday’s opponents, Eintracht Frankfurt.

Spurs conceded two or more goals in their last two matches Meanwhile, they scored eight goals in those fixtures. Expect them to extend their brilliant run of goals, and return home with at least one point from this clash. We will include them in our soccer picks and parlays.

Eintracht vs Tottenham Prediction

Despite playing on the road, the visitors enter this clash as favorites, priced at +105 on the three-way Moneyline, according to the latest soccer odds. The goal line is set at 2½.

Expect a buoyant Eintracht Frankfurt to cause Spurs problems here, but don’t forget that Tottenham possesses one of the best-attacking trios in Europe. They will definitely try to return home at least one point. Expect a high-scoring affair, as well. We will avoid ML and focus on the goals market in this one. The Bundesliga side have already surrendered 11 goals at home this season, so likely to permit a few chances.
