Los Cuscatlecos showed a lot of character by coming from behind twice. Bonilla didn’t score, but thanks to him, Alexander Larin was able to score from the penalty spot.

USA: No Mercy
Yes, the CNL is a friendly tournament, but the USA is bound to win all competitions. That’s why Berhalter called all the heavyweights, including Christian Pulisic, Tim Weah, Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie and Yunus Musah.
The Stars and Stripes crushed Grenada in their first game, but the total went under 5½ goals as we predicted. Jesus Ferreira activated the Terminator Mode and scored four goals. Paul Arriola also scored. The defensive unit didn’t allow the Spice Boys to even take a shot on target.
The crazy part is that Christian Pulisic, Tim Weah, Tyler Adams, and Yunus Musah didn’t play, allowing them to regain strength. That’s not good news for El Salvador because you know that they say, fresher legs can make a huge difference. Especially when those legs include a lot of talent.
Nevertheless, as mentioned before, winning on the road has become a problem for Berhalter’s team. The Stars and Stripes are 0-2-3 in their last five games away from home. During that span, they allowed six goals and only scored one. They’re better than that, and this is a great opportunity to prove it.
