The soccer betting action continues as the Euro 2020 group stage wraps up. Here are some intriguing props to look at in the final games of Groups A-C.
Group A:
-
Italy vs Wales – June 20th, 12 p.m. ET, Rome
Italy hasn’t conceded a goal in its last nine games and is unbeaten in its last 29 games. Italy is simply on fire right now, and it’s hard to bet against this run continuing.
-
- Pick: Italy to Win to Nil (Ev)
-
Switzerland vs Turkey – June 20th, 12 p.m. ET, Baku
Turkey, a dark horse coming into the tournament, has been a huge disappointment thus far. Turkey has failed to score a goal and conceded five goals through two games.
If Switzerland can win the game, which it needs to do to advance, I’m reasonably confident there won’t be too many goals scored. Especially given Switzerland has scored just one goal of its own so far.
-
- Pick: Switzerland and Total Under 4½ (Ev)
Group B:
-
Finland vs Belgium – June 21st, 3 P.M. ET, Saint Petersburg
Finland has just two shots on target through two games. Belgium has Kevin de Bruyne. Enough said.
-
- Pick: Belgium to Win to Nil (-135)
-
Russia vs Denmark – June 21st, 3 p.m. ET, Copenhagen
Denmark has had awful luck in this tournament. Christian Eriksen suffered a terrifying collapse on the pitch due to cardiac arrest in the opener vs Finland. Thankfully, he’s recovering. However, for Denmark to lose a game it outshot Finland in 22-1 is nearly unheard of.
Youssuf Poulsen gave the Danish supporters hope with a second-minute goal against Belgium. De Bruyne then won the game for Belgium with a goal and assist after he was subbed on. It’s about time that Denmark’s luck changed for both Eriksen and its home fans.
Group C:
-
North Macedonia vs Netherlands – June 21st, 12 p.m. ET, Amsterdam
Why can’t North Macedonia get a result? The Netherlands have already won Group C and figures to rotate its squad a whole lot before the round of 16. North Macedonia won’t let being the first team eliminated affect its motivation, as it is still looking for its first-ever points in a major tournament.
I’m not saying North Macedonia will win but a point isn’t remotely out of the question for a side that has looked competitive in both of its games.
-
Ukraine vs Austria – June 21st, 3 p.m. ET, Bucharest
This is the best game of the bunch for me. A win would guarantee either team second place in Group C and its first-ever knockout stage berth at the Euros. I’m not entirely sure what to expect apart from goals and a lot of trash talking.
Through two games, Ukraine has both scored and conceded four goals. Meanwhile, Austria has scored and conceded three goals, so there’s no reason both teams can’t get on the scoresheet in this one.
-
- Pick: Both Teams to Score in the Match (-120)
