Midtjylland vs Lazio

Lazio will be aiming to maintain their great start in Group F of the Europa League when they travel to play Midtjylland on Thursday. Things have been looking up for the Serie A side in recent weeks and they should have the edge over Midtjylland, who is recently struggling.

Kicking off their 10th participation in the Europa League since its inception in 2009, Lazio raced into a three-goal lead before halftime at Stadio Olimpico as they put last season’s Conference League finalists, Feyenoord, to the sword. They won 4-2 on the day and they doubled that with another impressive 2-0 win in their domestic league against Verona.

Ciro Immobile is one of the best strikers in Serie A and he already scored three goals and offered two assists in seven games this season. On top of that, he netted 20 goals in 31 European games for Lazio, so we will definitely include him in our soccer picks and parlays.

On the other side, Midtjylland kicked off their Europa League campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Sturm Graz. That result is a pointer to Midtjylland’s struggles as they have claimed just one win from their last nine matches across all competitions. Albert Capellas’ men are currently on a four-match losing run at MCH Arena, failing to score in the last two. We don’t expect them to return to winning ways on Thursday so we will back Lazio here.

Pick: Lazio (-110)

Olympiakos vs Freiburg

Olympiakos returned home empty-handed from their trip to Stade de la Beaujoire. Carlos Corberan’s troops conceded a late stoppage-time goal to lose the opener against French Ligue 1 side Nantes. Olympiakos entered the new season with high objectives but things are not looking good for them under their new manager. With just eight points to their name, Olympiakos is sitting third in their domestic league standings behind Panathinaikos and PAOK.

On the other side, Freiburg is enjoying a fantastic spell of form at the beginning of the new Bundesliga season. With 13 points earned in six games, they are sitting second in the German top-flight league behind Union Berlin and above Bayern Munich or Dortmund. If you’re betting online, Freiburg is still offering great odds week in and week out in the Bundesliga so make sure you check them out.

Freiburg represents a much more settled unit than their forthcoming opponents, having had Christian Streich as their manager since 2011. Streich will be hoping to take them into the knockout rounds for the first time since 2001-02. Should they be able to make it two wins from two in the Europa League by beating Olympiacos on Thursday, they would put themselves in an incredibly strong position in the group and have every chance of writing another page of history for their club and city.

Pick: Freiburg PK (-140)

Royale Union SG vs Malmo

Royale Union SG will look to continue their winning start to the Europa League group stage on Thursday when they welcome Malmo to Belgium. A second-place finish in the Belgian top flight last season earned them a guaranteed European group stage spot. They kicked off their UEL campaign with a trip to Germany to take on Bundesliga’s leaders Union Berlin last weekend. They managed to pull off the upset, adding three points to their group tally after a 1-0 win. They enter this clash as favorites at -175 on the three-way money line according to the latest soccer odds while the goal line is set at 2½.

The Swedish champions will look to bounce back from their 2-0 opening defeat to Braga in the Europa League last week, leaving them languishing at the bottom of the group. They immediately bounced back by beating Norrkoping 2-1 on home soil. Following the transfer of dangerous winger Veljko Birmancevic, who netted four goals in seven continental appearances this term, Jo Inge Berget is expected to lead the attacking line for the visitors.

Pick: Royale Union SG (-175)
