Man United a Best Bet at Home
Manchester United is determined to return to winning ways after suffering a 2-0 defeat to the Tottenham Spurs last weekend. Erik ten Hag’s troops were far from at their best, though they might have been in with a chance of getting something from the game had Lisandro Martínez not turned into his own net late on.
The Red Devils announced they would cut ties with Mason Greenwood following a year-and-a-half hiatus from football. As cynical as it might sound, Mason Mount’s injury could be a blessing in disguise for United for this particular game as Christian Eriksen’s progressive passing will be more useful than Mount’s running and industriousness.
Harry Maguire was very close to leaving Manchester United and joining West Ham, but the transfer fell through, and it looks like he will spend another season in Manchester.
Marcus Rashford will need to get back to his best, hopefully not as a striker. Failure to win this will truly unlock the panic mode as Arsenal away is the next game. The Red Devils are not exactly the best team to back if you’re betting online.
But there’s no reason why United won’t put up an improved display after back-to-back underwhelming performances. Their best performances under Ten Hag have always come as a response to bad displays.
On top of that, Old Trafford has been something of a fortress for Manchester United under Ten Hag with seven straight Premier League wins.
Fade Nottingham Forest on Road
Nottingham got on the scoresheet against Arsenal in their EPL opener and were arguably unfortunate to lose to last season’s runners-up, but they made amends with a deserved win over the Blades. They are not regarded as good travelers so we won’t include them in our Premier League picks and parlays.
Cooper’s side is very well-drilled in defense and poses a threat on the counter. Tactically, they are a nightmare matchup for a United side still struggling to break down deep and compact defenses. They might find the back of the net but we don’t see them returning home with the three points.
Nottingham Forest has no fresh injury concerns after losing Ola Aina to injury in training last week. He is not expected back until the end of the month. New loan signing Gonzalo Montiel could be handed a debut. Defender Felipe is likely to remain sidelined, though Morgan Gibbs-White and Tottenham-linked Brennan Johnson are certainly capable of threatening United on the counter-attack.
Man United vs Nottingham Forest Head-to-Head
United has won their last seven home Premier League matches, last enjoying a longer winning run at Old Trafford between May and November 2017. Forest has won four of their last eight Premier League games, one more than they managed in their previous 17 in the competition. They are looking for consecutive league wins for the first time since January.
Both teams have scored in eight of Nottingham Forest’s last nine league games. Forest has conceded exactly two goals in six of their last 10 league away days, losing 2-1 on three occasions. Steve Cooper’s side has now scored in nine successive Premier League matches but has only kept one clean sheet in the process.

Man United vs Nottingham Forest Betting Pick
Forest has taken just two points from their last 10 top-flight away games and has conceded exactly twice in six of these games. Man United’s record at home should be the key to this fixture. They are desperate to return to winning ways and add three more points to their season tally.
Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi is on fire and we expect him to contribute on the scoresheet so the best way to bet on this clash is goals as we expect at least three of them.
