FA Cup Quarterfinals Parlay Pick, Prediction

The Magic of the FA Cup Continues

Intriguing Slate of FA Cup Quarterfinals Matches

With Cinderellas, juggernauts and everything in between, the quarterfinals of the FA Cup should be one to remember. Two Championship sides are still left as Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest will look to continue their excellent runs vs. Chelsea and Liverpool, respectively.

Manchester City dropped points to Crystal Palace during the week, blowing the Premier League title race wide open. They’ll look to take it out on Southampton on Sunday. Speaking of Crystal Palace, they’re the soccer betting favorites vs. Everton and could make their first FA Cup semifinals since 2016.

FA Cup Quarterfinals Parlay Pick, Prediction

Let’s check the latest news, stats, injury reports, and England FA Cup for Soccer. We’ve plenty of predictions for you to consider.

Crystal Palace vs. Everton Prediction

Crystal Palace, unless they meet Manchester City in a later round of the FA Cup, will finish the season undefeated vs. the Citizens. Palace drew 0-0 with City on Monday and defeated them 2-0 earlier in the season. Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace have given problems to a handful of top teams this season and have looked excellent on defense recently.

Palace, with the center back pairing of Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen, have conceded five goals in their last nine matches. The Eagles have lost just one match in that span and could finish in the top half of the Premier League.

Frank Lampard’s Everton were humbled 5-0 by Tottenham a couple weeks ago. In two matches since, they’ve fallen 1-0 to Wolves and defeated Newcastle 1-0 from a 99th minute Alex Iwobi winner. That goal could prove massive in Everton’s bid to stay in the Premier League and was their first in the last five Premier League matches.

I have no doubt in my mind that Crystal Palace are capable of keeping Everton out of the back of their net. This is Crystal Palace’s game for the taking but I’m not necessarily sure they’ll get it done in 90 mins. For betting online, I’d take under 2½ up to -150 because neither team scores consistently enough.

Pick: Under 2½ (-140)

Middlesbrough vs. Chelsea Prediction

Having already defeated Manchester United and Tottenham, Middlesbrough are no joke. The Championship side will be playing in front of their home fans and haven’t been shut out at Riverside Stadium since losing 2-0 to Birmingham City back in October.

Their opponents have been ruthless in cup competitions under Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea have won last season’s Champions League and this year’s Club World Cup and recently made the final of the League Cup and last season’s FA Cup. Tuchel won’t take Middlesbrough lightly and with the international break coming up, he won’t hesitate to use his best possible lineup.

As good of a story as Middlesbrough are, their record vs Chelsea in recent times has been abysmal. They’ve lost their last eight matches to the Blues and have failed to score in each of those matches. Chelsea only have a longer winning streak vs Crystal Palace and Bolton in all competitions.

Furthermore, Middlesbrough have lost in their last four attempts in the quarterfinals. Despite the turmoil the club is currently in, Chelsea haven’t lost in 90 minutes since January 15 at Manchester City and have been one of the best recent soccer picks. won five consecutive road matches in all competitions. The Blues sealed the deal at Lille on Wednesday with a 2-1 win in the second leg of their UCL round of 16 tie, winning 4-1 on aggregate.

Chelsea have outscored their opponents 9-2 in their last four matches and I think that Middlesbrough’s run ends here in emphatic fashion for Chelsea. Take Chelsea -1 for online gambling.

Pick: Chelsea -1 (-130)
