Two of the most entertaining teams in the German top-flight league, Leverkusen and Hoffenheim, play each other on Wednesday while in-form Eintracht Frankfurt travels to play struggling Monchengladbach. Our sportsbook offers great odds for this two-team parlay.
Monchengladbach vs. Eintracht Frankfurt
We cashed our second Bundesliga Parlay in a row last weekend at +257 with RB Leipzig beating Gladbach 4-1 while Eintracht Frankfurt and Leverkusen offered us an entertaining match.
Gladbach is the coldest team in the German Bundesliga. They lost three games in a row and conceded 14 goals in the process. We all thought that the 4-1 defeat to FC Koln was a mistake, but then they got humiliated by Freiburg in a game that was 6-0 in the 36th minute. If that wasn’t enough, Gladbach conceded four against RB Leipzig last weekend.
They now have the focus on the Frankfurt game, but the players are not showing quality on the pitch, they are not defending well and it looks like they are doing this on purpose just to get their manager, Adi Hutter, sacked. Still, they enter this game as home favorites at even money on the three-way moneyline according to the latest soccer odds. The clock is ticking and Hutter might celebrate Christmas being jobless.
On the other side, Eintracht came back from two goals down to beat Leverkusen 5-2 on home soil. They ended the day ninth in the standings while third-place Leverkusen was left lamenting what could have been following its own superb start. The visitors have now lost just once in their previous nine games, on the road against Hoffenheim.
Gladbach kicked off the season with seven undefeated games, but they are now sitting two points above the danger zone. The hosts have conceded the second-most Bundesliga goals past the 75th minute (nine). Eintracht has scored twice in five of its last seven away matches, losing just twice in 10 games on the road. They are a team to be backed given their brilliant form so we will start adding them to our soccer picks and parlays.
Pick: Eintracht Frankfurt +½ (-120)
Leverkusen vs. Hoffenheim
Leverkusen dropped points last weekend losing to Eintracht Frankfurt, but they are still sitting third in the standings with 27 points collected in 15 games. They have the second-best attack in the league after leaders Bayern Munich with 37 goals scored. They are a scoring machine and have one of the best attacking trios in Germany with Patrik Schick, Florian Wirtz and Moussa Diaby.
Schick came back from a long-term injury two weeks ago and he scored six goals in three games. He is sitting second in the top-scorers’ chart with 14 goals and one assist behind Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski.
On the other side, Hoffenheim is the most in-form team in the domestic league. They enter this match on the back of four victories, winning six of their last seven fixtures across all competitions and scoring 20 goals in the process. They took advantage of Union’s shocking defeat to Greuther Furth and, after beating Freiburg 2-1 on the road last weekend, they earned a top-four position.
The two teams produce high-scoring affairs when playing each other, and we expect the trend to continue. They are separated by just one point in the standings and with a victory on Thursday, Hoffenheim could leapfrog Leverkusen and end the round third in the standings.
Stats are one of the important tools when you’re betting online, and the two teams scored 69 goals between them. Leverkusen is a huge favorite to win this clash at -130 in the latest soccer odds but we prefer the goals’ market with the line being set at 3.
