Road Team Boosts Value to La Liga Parlay

Sitting third in the Spanish top-flight league, Betis plays host to relegation-threatened Alaves while Osasuna travels to play Celta Vigo for their midweek La Liga fixture. Our sportsbook is offering a great range of markets and props for the European soccer leagues.

Betis vs. Alaves: Easy Home Win

Manuel Pellegrini has done a fine job in charge of Betis, leading them to a sixth-place finish last season, and pushing on again so far this term. The hosts are currently third in the standings following a brilliant first half of this La Liga season. The bosses at the Benito Villamarin have liked what they have seen, rewarding Pellegrini with a new contract due to run until 2025.

Unfortunately, the start of the year wasn’t exactly what the fans had in mind, with Betis dropping eight points in its last three domestic fixtures. They bounced back last weekend by beating city rivals and second-place Sevilla 2-1 in the Spanish Cup on goals from their amazing attacking duo of Nabil Fekir and Sergio Canales. It’s time to return to winning ways also in La Liga. They are huge favorites to win this clash at -210 on the three-way moneyline according to the latest soccer odds.

They have a great home record this season winning five of their 10 home fixtures scoring 19 goals in the process. They beat Alaves in their previous three head-to-heads, including a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture on the road. They have an extremely balanced squad with experienced players, but also with young and talented ones always ready to make the difference.

On the other side, Alaves is sitting 18th in the standings, with just 17 points picked up in 20 games, one point behind the first salvation spot occupied by Getafe. They have the third-worst attack in the league with just 16 goals netted this season. On top of that, they won just once in nine away games, scoring eight and conceding 17 goals. They pulled off some huge upsets, beating Atletico Madrid 1-0 at home and keeping Barcelona to a 1-1 draw, but they are winless in their previous eight domestic league games. They are one of the best teams to fade on the road.

Betis is far from the top two spots held by Real Madrid and Sevilla, but its main objective is to finish in top four and we believe they have the weapons to do it. Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad and Barcelona are breathing down their neck so this is a must win. They are a reliable team when playing in front of their fans and once again we will include them in our soccer picks and parlays. Pellegrini has clearly improved Betis since his arrival in 2020, with the best win percentage in Betis’ history as things stand.

Pick: Betis -1 (-125)

Celta Vigo vs. Osasuna: Value on Visitors

Despite both clubs occupying a place in the bottom half of the table, they have each suffered just two defeats in their last six fixtures. Celta Vigo saw its three-game unbeaten run come to an end 10 days ago when it lost 1-0 on the road to Real Sociedad. They are one of the worst home teams in the league, earning just eight points in 10 games, winning just one in the process.

Their legend, Iago Aspas, and the talented Santi Mina are expected to lead the attacking line against Osasuna with Nolito remaining on the bench. Despite having two amazing weapons in the attack, Celta Vigo is very inconsistent and if you’re betting online, you should avoid backing the team to win games. They are favorites at -115 but this is a trappy line.

On the other side, Osasuna has been dealt a double blow by the news that David Garcia and Unai Garcia have both tested positive for coronavirus. They won a very important victory in the last round of La Liga against Cadiz. This is a victory that halted a previous three-game losing streak across all competitions and restore their somewhat unstable balance and confidence.

The reverse match ended in a goalless draw and once again we expect Osasuna to return home with at least one point. They are performing better on the road this season winning four in nine games and scoring 10 goals in the process.
