The winners of 15 of the last 16 scudettos will meet as Inter Milan plays host to Juventus in the Derby d’Italia. Inter broke Juve’s nine-year title streak with its first Serie A title since 2010 last season but is struggling to defend its title thus far.
Juve could crucially move into the top four with a win here. However, the soccer lines list the Turin-based side as a +235 underdog, despite getting the better of Inter in recent years.

Inter Milan vs Juventus Betting Preview
Head to Head
Inter Milan and Juventus met four times last season, with two Serie A meetings and a two-leg Coppa Italia semifinal tie. These teams split their Serie A meetings as Juve and Inter both won at home.
In the Coppa Italia, Juve beat Inter at the San Siro in the first leg, 2-1, and held on for a scoreless draw at home to advance to the final, which it won over Atalanta.
Juventus has lost to Inter just once in the last eleven meetings and been the better pick for betting online, but has arguably its weakest side in the past decade.
Inter Looking to Bounce Back from Bad Loss
Inter Milan is coming off of its first Serie A loss of the season, as it fell 3-1 to Lazio. Inter’s Ivan Perišić opened up the scoring with a 12th-minute penalty but Inter disappointingly conceded three second-half goals.
It was the first time all season Inter had conceded more than two goals in a match and is a concerning sign heading into its biggest game of the season. However, Inter got its Champions League campaign back on track as it picked up a 3-1 win over surprise Group D leaders Sheriff Tiraspol midweek.
Edin Džeko opened up the scoring for Inter and the 35-year old continues to defy father time. His move from Roma to replace the departed Romelu Lukaku was criticized by many but the Bosnian international has repaid Inter’s faith in him.
Džeko trails just Ciro Immobile in the Serie A golden boot race and has scored six goals in eight matches. Inter has been the highest-scoring team in Serie A and also boasts a legitimate goal-scorer in Lautauro Martinez. Martinez scored 17 goals in Inter’s title-winning campaign and has already found the net five times this season.
Inter Milan has been one of Serie A’s best soccer picks, even as it trails first place Napoli by seven points.
Juve’s Win Streak on the Line
Juventus is now undefeated in its last eight matches in all competitions, following a slow start to the season. Juve may still be feeling the sting of losing Cristiano Ronaldo but has shot up to first place in its Champions League group on the back of three consecutive Champions League clean sheets.
In fact, Juve has won four straight games by a scoreline of 1-0 and has won six straight matches in all competitions. While the goals haven’t necessarily been flowing, The Old Lady’s backline and goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczęsny, have been excellent.
The lack of production upfront is certainly concerning, though. Juve is tied for ninth in Serie A with 12 goals and no player has managed to score more than two goals in the league so far. Striker Paulo Dybala has missed nearly a month and is doubtful to make his return in this match.
It took an 86th-minute goal from substitute Dejan Kulusevski to put away Zenit in the Champions League midweek. Juve does have a sparkplug in breakout Euro 2020 star Federico Chiesa but has struggled for creativity and could face the same challenges vs Inter.
Inter Milan has scored nearly double the number of goals that Juventus has managed up to this point. Inter has averaged four goals per game in three previous Serie A home matches and will be a handful for Juve to stop.
I think Juve’s clean sheet streak will come to an end here and I’m not sure this current iteration of Juventus has what it takes to match up with a dangerous Inter team. Take Inter Milan at +110.
