Inter Milan, Juventus Collide in Italian Super Cup
Last season, Inter Milan ended an historic streak starring Juventus. The Vecchia Signora won nine straight Serie A titles from 2012 to 2020. Then, Antonio Conte took over the Nerazzurri and led them to their first title since 2010.
Fortunately for all soccer betting enthusiasts, the Bianconeri won the Italian Cup, fortunately because now it’s time to find out which team is better. That’s what the Super Cup is for.
Inter comes in as Wednesday favorite at -145, but Juventus hasn’t lost in its last eight games, in all competitions.
Inter Milan Wants to Win It All
Believe it or not, despite leading them to glory, Conte is no longer Inter Milan’s head coach. He decided to take some time off, but it didn’t last long. He’s now coaching Tottenham in the English Premier League.
However, don’t feel bad for the Nerazzurri, as they found another great strategist in Simone Inzaghi. He has led them to a 15-4-1 record in the Serie A. Inter has also qualified for the UEFA Champions League and Italian Cup Round of 16. There’s nothing that they can’t win.
Recently, Inter defeated Lazio 2-1 at San Siro, with goals from Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar. Two defenders making the difference in the offensive end shows how committed the entire group is. It also shows that the best defense is a good offense.
Their roster is so talented that players such as Edin Dzeko, Joaquin Correa, Arturo Vidal and Matteo Darmian aren’t starters. Dzeko has scored eight goals in the Serie A, while Vidal is considered one of the best Chilean players in history.
That’s another reason for Inter to control the Las Vegas Odds, fresher legs can make a difference. Here’s another one. They finished with a clean sheet in three of their last four games. It’s not easy finding a more balanced team.
Inter Milan predicted lineup: Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Milan Skriniar, Federico Dimarco; Denzel Dumfries, Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, Ivan Perisic; Lautaro Martinez, Edin Dzeko.
Juventus Best Chance
Juventus is turning things around in the Serie A, but it might be too late. They also qualified for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, but they aren’t favorites to dethrone Chelsea.
That’s why conquering the Italian Super Cup is their best shot at winning something. It’s not impossible in a one-game series, and as was mentioned before, Juventus is on a roll. The Vecchia Signora haven’t lost in its last eight games, winning six of those matches.
Their last victory was a thrilling one. They defeated AS Roma, 4-3, despite finishing the game with one less player. Paulo Dybala scored after missing some games due to injury. Talk about good timing. Dybala, Alvaro Morata and Moise Kean can be a real headache for Inter Milan’s defense.
If you were looking for an underdog to include in your soccer picks, Juventus could be the answer. Besides being a powerhouse, the Bianconeri have been a more reliable choice when playing on the road. They own a 6-3-2 record when playing away from Allianz Stadium in the Serie A, 5-2-3 in front of the homebodies.
Juventus predicted lineup: Wojciech Szczesny; Juan Cuadrado, Daniele Rugani, Matthijs de Ligt, Mattia De Sciglio; Weston McKennie, Rodrigo Bentancur, Manuel Locatelli; Federico Chiesa, Alvaro Morata, Paulo Dybala.

Inter Milan vs Juventus Prediction
Inter is the better team, no doubt about it. In the Serie A, they remain unbeaten at San Siro with an 8-2-0 record. Last week, they only played once, due to a suspension of their game against Bologna. Juventus played two matches, and as aforementioned, fresher legs can make a huge difference.
The Vecchia Signora won’t fall easily, though. I expect them to score, helping the total to go over. Their confidence is coming back, but they aren’t ready to pull off the betting online upset.
Score Prediction: Inter Milan 2, Juventus 1
