Our favorite day of the week is here, and we are ready to cash another weekend longshot parlay with some great selections. You can live-bet on the top European league using our sportsbook.
Burnley vs. West Ham (Premier League Round 16)
This is a match between teams who are fighting for different objectives. Burnley are sitting 18th in the Premier League, three points behind the first salvation spot while West Ham are the best from the rest sitting fourth with 27 points earned in 15 rounds.
West Ham are priced at even-money according to the latest soccer odds and they enter this clash on the back of a superb home win against former EPL leaders Chelsea. On the other side, Burnley are winless in their previous four clashes, winning just one match all season long. Not just that but last weekend they managed to lose to bottom-placed Newcastle without finding the back of the net.
There is a huge difference between the teams with West Ham having the fourth attack in the league with 28 goals scored this term while Burnley are struggling to contribute on the scoreboard, betting just 14 goals. Burnley’s record against the top teams is poor. They lost to Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal without scoring, but strangely they managed to pull off a small upset by keeping Chelsea to a 1-1 draw one month ago.
For the first pick of our longshot parlay, we are going with the visitors because they are by far the better team, and they will be determined to secure their spot and extend their great goal-scoring form.
Pick: West Ham ML at +100
Inter vs. Cagliari (Serie A Round 17)
Inter are on fire in the Italian top-flight league. They are unbeaten in the last eight Serie A games winning six in the process. They took advantage of Napoli’s and AC Milan’s poor results, and they are now sitting second, just one point behind the leaders. AC Milan will have a tough road match against Udinese and with a win against Cagliari, Inter could end the round in first place.
The spread is set at 2, a bit too high given the circumstances. Inter played a midweek Champions League game losing 2-0 on the road to Real Madrid and having less days at their disposal to prepare for this match. Still, they should have enough to beat Cagliari, but we don’t expect them to destroy their opponents. Just two times this season they covered the -2 spread (against Genoa and AS Roma).
On the other side, Cagliari have lost by three goals on two occasions (against Fiorentina and AC Milan). This is a risky line so we will avoid adding it on our soccer picks and parlays. Cagliari will definitely have a defensive approach and try to return home with a point, which means gold for them against Inter.
The goal-line is set at 3½, way too high for this match. At home, Inter have kept two clean sheets in their previous three matches while Cagliari failed to score in four of their last five away games.
It will be difficult for the visitors to contribute on the scoreboard and at the same time we don’t expect Inter to push for a big win. If you like to bet on a correct score, you should sprinkle a small stake on 2-0 or 3-0 priced at +650 and at +700 respectively.
Pick: Under 3½ goals in the match at -110
Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid (La Liga Round 17)
Leaders Real Madrid play host to reigning champs Atletico Madrid in the most anticipated match of the weekend in the European top-flight leagues. Both teams are coming after two great Champions League wins and they both qualified in the knock-out stages of the most prestigious European competition.
In the Spanish La Liga, Real Madrid are unstoppable sitting first in the standings, eight points clear of second placed Sevilla and 10 points above their city rivals Atletico Madrid. They enter this match on the back of nine wins in a row across all competitions while their opponents are struggling to win two games in row for the last two months.
Atletico are not anymore the best defensive side in Europe and if you’re betting online and remember them from the last season when it was very difficult to score against them, you should also know that they are not a team to back this term.
Let’s not forget that this is a derby match and no matter the position in the standings or their form the two teams are expected to offer us an entertaining match full of everything, from goals to drama and many bookings. The public is expecting a low-scoring clash and if you look at the record, we’ve seen two goals or less in their previous five mutual encounters. Given the importance of the game, we’re going with the overs.
