We’re down to the last 16 teams in the Coppa Italia, and the time has come to look at the outright odds. The field looks incredibly competitive as no team has better than +400 soccer odds to take home the trophy.
Juventus are the most recent champions, and the Bianconeri are going after their fifth Coppa Italia in the last eight years. With challengers like Inter, Atalanta, Napoli and AC Milan in the fold, it certainly won’t be easy.
Coppa Italia Outrights
Inter the Early Favorites
Inter Milan have climbed to the top of the Serie A table, listed as the most likely side to win the Coppa Italia. The Nerazzurri have +400 odds to win their first Coppa Italia in 11 years and face Empoli in a few weeks’ time.
Juventus and Atalanta, last season’s finalists, are not far behind at +450. Massimiliano Allegri has had an up-and-down second tour as Juve manager, but recent form has been encouraging and he did win four Coppa Italia titles in five seasons from 2015-2019.
Atalanta have just one Coppa Italia in their history, but have been one of Italy’s best teams for betting online in recent seasons. They’ve made two of the last three finals and have one of the most dangerous attacks in Italian soccer.
Napoli are the third club listed at +450 after taking home the trophy in 2020. Although they’ve been one of the best soccer picks of the season, we’d stay away from them, primarily because they have one of the toughest Round of 16 fixtures vs Dusan Vlahovic and Fiorentina.
Dušan Vlahović is the first-ever Fiorentina player to score more than 30 Serie A goals in a calendar year ⚽️

AC Milan are in the midst of an injury crisis and appear to be on a collision course with bitter rivals Inter in the semifinals. The Rossoneri were the last team to pick up a point vs Inter and AC Milan have +600 odds to win the Coppa Italia. They might, however, find it tough to progress in their current state.
Rome Clubs Offering Value
Jose Mourinho, more than most other managers, places a premium on domestic trophies. He famously referred to winning a “half title” at Tottenham after getting sacked a week before Spurs lost the League Cup final to Man City.
Mourinho presided over Inter’s treble-winning season in 2010, so don’t count out his Roma side to make a run at +900. They play Serie B Lecce in the Round of 16, then have a monumental clash potentially looming with Inter. If they can win that, the sky’s the limit.
Lazio have been incredibly inconsistent this season, but still have one of Serie A’s top scorers in Ciro Immobile. Despite bad form, they’re the kind of team that can go pound-for-pound with anyone. They’re also not a bad value at +900 sportsbook odds.
Longshots
Of the longshots, only Fiorentina and Sassuolo stand out as having a decent shot of outperforming the odds.
Fiorentina’s Vlahovic is the top scorer in Serie A and scored a brace in the first round of the Coppa Italia. Napoli will feel cheated having to play the Viola this early, as they’re a dangerous side. They’re an intriguing pick at +3300, but it’s doubtful they can string together four consecutive wins.
Sassuolo is another side with a talented young forward in Gianluca Scamacca. They’re listed at +4000, witb a surprisingly decent shot of making the semis. They’ll oppose Cagliari in the Round of 16, then would perhaps face an erratic Juve side in the quarters.
Prediction
Inter have been the most consistent team in Italy this season, so there’s no reason that they can’t take home the domestic double this season.
