Italian Side Seeking Spot in Europa League
Prior to the start of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage, PSG and Juventus were the soccer betting favorites to win Group H, but Benfica had other plans. The Bianconeri are already eliminated, but they need to defeat the Parisians to secure a ticket for the UEFA Europa League.
As for the visitors, they need to win in order to secure first place, because if they lose, they will need some help from Maccabi Haifa. Summing up, high stakes in Turin.
Juventus: In Need of Win
Juventus are seventh in the Italian Serie A, 10 points behind Napoli, the team atop the standings. In other words, the Bianconeri aren’t even in the title race. As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve no chances of advancing to the UCL Round of 16, which means winning the UEFA Europa League is all they’ve left.
After losing to Benfica 4-3 in the last fixture of the UCL, the Bianconeri fell to a 1-0-4 record, good enough for third place in the group. They could advance to the UEL even if they lose, but it would be bye-bye if Maccabi Haifa pulls off the stunner against the Portuguese side.
Most recently, Juventus regained some confidence by defeating Lecce 1-0 in the Serie A. Nicolo Fagioli came off the bench to save the day. You can expect the 21-year-old to be highly motivated as that was his first goal with the Bianconeri.
Dusan Vlahovic, the team’s top scorer, won’t be available due to injury, which means Arkadiusz Milik and Moise Kean will have to lead the way offensively. Milk has scored five goals in all competitions while Kean has scored two.
The Bianconeri are huge underdogs in the sportsbook to win straight up, very tempting considering they’ve lost only one of their last eight games at Juventus Stadium and won the last three by a 10-1 aggregate.
PSG: It’s About Sending a Message
PSG are already qualified for the Round of 16, but not winning the group would be a failure for them. Plus, defeating one of the best defensive teams in Europe at their own stadium would send a strong message to other title contenders.
The Parisians are unbeaten thanks to a 3-2-0 record. They’ve scored 14 goals and allowed six. Most recently, they crushed Maccabi Haifa 7-2. Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe led the way as both scored a brace. Neymar and Carlos Soler also scored while an own goal by Sean Goldberg helped seal the deal.
Last Saturday, they suffered a bit more than expected but still ended up beating Troyes 4-3. The point is that we’re talking about a team that truly believes in the old saying that the best defense is a good offense.
Here’s another reason for you to consider including the Parisians in your soccer picks. They’re 8-2-0 in their last 10 road games in all competitions, and they failed to score only in one of those games.
Last but not least, only Neymar is out due to personal matters. He’s a great player, but some dare to say that the team plays even better without him.

Juventus vs PSG Prediction
PSG still have to lose a game this season and it won’t be this one. Besides the fact that they’re the better team, winning the UCL is their top priority, and doing it with an undefeated record would be even more valuable. Plus, Vlahovic’s absence will make things easier for the defense. Don’t get me wrong, Juventus will put up a good fight, but it won’t be enough to pull off the betting online upset.
Score Prediction: PSG 2, Juventus 1
