Lecce are returning to Serie A for the first time since suffering relegation to the second tier of Italian football during the 2019/20 season. Our sportsbook is offering the best markets and bonuses for Italian top-flight league.
Lecce are newly promoted
Lecce claimed the Serie B title, and will be confident about their chances of remaining in Serie A this season. They couldn’t have asked for a tougher opening match than this one, home to Italian giants Inter Milan. Remains to be seen whether Salentini learned their lesson from three seasons ago, having suffered a heart-breaking relegation on the season’s final day.
Lecce had a busy summer window-importing 10 players-but losing Serie B’s top scorer the last two seasons (Massimo Coda), top keeper (Gabriel), as well as Mario Gargiulo, ever-present for Marco Baroni’s side last term.
Everyone is in love with Lecce, but why? It’s because they playing offensive football, and we all love the goals. We will continue to include Lecce in our soccer picks and parlays when it comes to goals. However, be careful. All of the above suggest a poor season, Lecce failing to maintain their Serie A position.
Ex-Sassuolo winger Federico Di Francesco came in from SPAL. There’s a strong contingent of youngsters, such as defensive midfielder Daniel Semak, who joined from Slavia Prague, right winger Lamec Branda (Maccabi Petah-Tikva) and teenage striker Joel Persson, arriving from Roma’s primavera. Baroni needs some time to adapt his attacking style to all these new players.
Lukaku will be lethal for Inter
Back with the club he loves (season-long loan), Romelu Lukaku looks ready to fire on all cylinders to win the Golden Boot, and the title with Inter. There are few better examples of the perfect fit for club and player than the experienced striker Romelu Lukaku and Nerazzurri.
It has been a decisive summer transfer window for Inter. Lukaku’s relationship with Lautaro Martinez will be an immense benefit for the club. Simone Inzaghi added to the squad Kristjan Asllani, Raoul Bellanova, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and, especially, Andrea Onana. All have arrived via loans or free transfers.
Simone Inzaghi has already had a year at his disposal to impose his style, winning both the Italian Super Cup and the Cup. He failed to retain the Scudetto, however, having finishing second behind AC Milan. Expect him to push forward, but if you’re betting online, you shouldn’t trust Inter to win the title. Juventus are looking much better this term. Inter will keep many teams at bay. Watch them closely. The defensive lines generally win the titles, and Inter looks very good at the back. We don’t trust them to go all the way and fight Juventus, despite them being the choice to lift the trophy.
Lecce vs Inter Head-to-Head
Lukaku scored on his Inter debut as they beat Lecce 4-0 on the opening day of the 2019/20 campaign before Lecce went down to Serie B. The hosts managed to keep Inter to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture of that specific season. The previous head-to-heads between the two sides happened in the 2011/12 campaign so there’s no reason to talk about them. During their previous top-flight league season, Lecce finished with the most goals conceded among the 20 teams in the league, 85 of them in 38 fixtures while last season Inter had the best attack in the league with 84 goals scored.

Lecce vs Inter Predictions
The visitors enter this clash as heavy favorites, priced at -310 on the three-way moneyline, according to the latest soccer odds. The goal-line is set at three.
It’s simple. Half of Lecce’s players are new, and they definitely need time to adapt There’s no way we will back the hosts here. Inter did maintain the core of their roster, added one of the best strikers in the world in Romelu Lukaku. He already knows his teammates, as he played here two seasons ago when Inter won the Serie A title. We won’t back Inter at -310, so we’ll combine the moneyline with the goals market in a parlay.
