Host’s Non-Losing Streak at Risk

The final stretch of the English Premier League season is about to begin, and pretty much everything is still up for grabs. That includes fifth place, which awards a ticket to the UEFA Europa League. Right now, it belongs to Liverpool, but there are only six points between the Reds and ninth place.

As for Fulham, the Cottagers are 10th and come in as the Premier League betting underdogs, but keep in mind that they just made Manchester City suffer tremendously.

Liverpool: Huge Victory

Last Sunday, Liverpool played host to Tottenham in what ended up being a goal-fest. Believe it or not, Liverpool was up 3-0 before the 16-minute mark thanks to Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah. The Spurs managed to make it 3-3 in the 93rd minute thanks to Richarlison, but Diogo Jota scored the winner one minute later.

That victory allowed Liverpool to climb up to fifth place with 56 points, two more than the Spurs and Aston Villa. The Villagers lost 1-0 to Manchester United. Those two points could become five since Liverpool has played one game less.

Liverpool’s season has been full of ups and downs, but we’re still talking about the third top-scoring team in the league with 65 goals. Only Manchester City and Arsenal have scored more, with 84 and 78. Once again, Salah is leading the way with 17 goals, followed by Roberto Firmino with nine.

Liverpool is offering a -360 price in the Premier League lines to win straight up. Not having lost in its last six matches and owning an 11-4-1 record at home have a lot to do with that. There’s also the fact that finishing in the EPL top five is all the club has left since it’s no longer playing in any other tournament.

Fulham: Good Fight

Unlike Liverpool, Fulham didn’t win in the previous EPL fixture. The Cottagers played host to Manchester City as betting online underdogs and ended up losing 2-1. All three goals were scored in the first half. Erling Haaland scored the opener for the Citizens only three minutes into the game, while Carlos Vinicius scored the equalizer 12 minutes later. Julian Alvarez sealed the deal for the visitors in the 36th minute.

The Cottagers’ defense deserves some praise because the Citizens finished with 12 shots in total, nine on target. Four days prior, Haaland and company defeated Arsenal 4-1, so limiting them to two goals is quite an achievement.

Individually, Aleksandar Mitrovic is the main reason to consider including the visitors in your Premier League picks. He’s the team’s top scorer with 11 goals, and there’s no doubt Fulham will rely on the counterattack, meaning he’ll be the only striker in the starting lineup.

There’s also the +850 price Fulham is offering in the Premier League odds. That’s not bad for a team that, regardless of the result, has scored in four of its last five games on the road.

Liverpool vs Fulham Head-to-Head

The first meeting between Liverpool and Fulham didn’t disappoint. The Cottagers won the first half 1-0 thanks to Aleksandar Mitrovic, but Liverpool evened the score only 10 minutes into the second thanks to Darwin Nunez. Mitrovic scored again from the penalty spot eight minutes later, while Mohamed Salah scored the final equalizer 10 minutes before the end.

Liverpool won six of the last 10 head-to-heads, scoring 21 goals and conceding nine. The team will also be offering great odds via live betting.

Liverpool vs Fulham Picks and Predictions

Liverpool is back. The mystique of Anfield is back. But that doesn’t mean this is going to be a walk in the park. Liverpool’s last two victories at Anfield were by one goal and suffered tremendously to win a point against Arsenal before that.

Finally, the total has gone over 3½ goals in the last four games at Anfield. That being said, you can expect another goal-fest, enough for me to recommend you include the over in your online gambling ticket.
