Liverpool: Superpower

One domestic title is already in the bag, they are potentially only three games away from a seventh Champions League trophy, and another trip to Wembley awaits this superb Liverpool side, with their fans being optimistic about a possible quadruple.

Liverpool has something to play for, a ton of talent, and they enter this match in fantastic form. They should be extremely motivated, not only because they are fighting for the title, but also because Liverpool and Manchester United are one of the biggest rivalries in all of England. For the title and for the derby, we should see Liverpool at the height of its power this coming Tuesday.

The Easter period has not been kind to the Reds, but impressively, the treatment room is empty, and Jurgen Klopp’s side remains within one point distance of reigning Premier League champions and leaders Man City after rescuing a 2-2 draw at the Etihad last week.

The hosts have netted at least two goals in each of their last five games across all competition and have won 10 in a row at Anfield in the Premier League. The league’s highest scorers with 79 domestic goals also boast the best home defense, allowing just seven goals at Anfield all season. That’s been one of the main reasons why they’ve been so good and unbeaten on Merseyside. They are brilliant going forward and we expect them to dominate this clash. That’s why we will include them in our soccer picks and parlays.

They haven’t played their best football in the last few fixtures but have managed to churn out results when it mattered the most. This is a sign of a championship team and Klopp would be hoping that the hard work pays off at the end of the season.

Man United: No CR7 No Party

The red side of Manchester seems to be in turmoil. They have been knocked out of the Champions League yet again in the first knockout stage and their Premier League form hasn’t been great either. They have an uphill task ahead of them if they want to finish in Champions League spots this season. We have three teams fighting for the last Champions League spot with Arsenal and Man United being equal on points with 54 (with Arsenal having a game in hand on the Red Devils) while Tottenham is sitting three points above them with six games to go until the end of the season.

Labeled the problem at Man United this season, Cristiano Ronaldo is always the answer to many questions. He scored a hat-trick with United beating Norwich 3-2, once again showing his doubters what he’s capable of.

Manchester United considered the credentials of eight different managers before choosing Ajax coach Erik Ten Hag to become the fifth permanent appointment in the last nine years. Ten Hag’s inexperience at the highest level, in terms of managing a club of United’s size in a league as high-profile as the Premier League, may yet prove an overwhelming problem in the months and years ahead.

Ralf Rangnick’s side must find a way to combat one of the best sides in the world right now, so if you’re betting online don’t even think about backing United to pull off the upset on the road to Liverpool. Rangnick once again works around a depleted midfield with Fred and Scott McTominay both set to miss out once more. Striker Edinson Cavani and left-back Luke Shaw are definitely sidelined until at least May, and the latter is now highly unlikely to return before the end of the season

Liverpool vs Man United Head-to-Head

Manchester United’s recent record at Anfield is tragic. They haven’t won there since 2016 and have managed just a single goal in their last five visits. The Reds have the best record in front of their fans this season winning 39 of a possible 45 points and scoring 39 goals in the process. On the other side, Man United has only won six games on the road this term. We’ve seen at least five goals in the last three mutual encounters between the two sides with both teams contributing on the scoresheet on two occasions.

Liverpool vs Man United Betting Lines

Liverpool vs Man United Predictions

The hosts enter this clash as heavy favorites being priced at -250 on the three-way moneyline according to the latest soccer odds while the goal line is set at three.

You won’t find many people who don’t fancy Liverpool winning this clash and we can’t find any reason to disagree with that stance. The Reds are the better side on and off the pitch, they are in fine form, they are brilliant going forward and their confidence is at a high level. On the other side, Man United just about overcame Norwich over the weekend courtesy of a Cristiano Ronaldo hat trick. They have a depleted squad, the atmosphere in the squad is not good and a trip to Anfield at this stage of the season could be a disaster. We don’t expect many goals so we will avoid the goals market but we do expect Liverpool to have enough and easily cover the spread.

Pick: Liverpool -1½ at +115
