Western Conference Third Place on Line
It’s been an up-and-down start to the season for the Los Angeles Galaxy. On the other hand, Nashville SC has done a good job considering all its games have been on the road. GEODIS Park won’t be ready until May 1.
According to the soccer odds, the Galaxy comes in as the favorite at -105. However, both are on a three game non-losing streak.
Last but not least, the winner will secure at least third place in the Western Conference. For LA, first place is also a possibility.
Let’s check the latest news, stats, injury reports, and USA MLS odds for Los Angeles Galaxy vs Nashville SC. We’ve plenty of predictions for you to consider.
Los Angeles Galaxy Looking for Balance
Last weekend, the Los Angeles Galaxy visited the Chicago Fire and drew for the first time. Against all odds, the game finished with a goalless draw. I said against all odds because LA had scored at least one goal in five of its previous six games.
There’s also the fact that Javier Chicharito Hernandez is among the league’s top scorers with five goals. Chicharito alone has scored as many goals as the Fire has scored in total. The Mexican has scored in four games; the Galaxy won three of those games.
Anyway, that result made the Galaxy fall to third place in the Western Conference, three points behind Los Angeles FC. That means a victory could boost them back up to the top.
Midweek, the Galaxy returned to the winning column thanks to the U.S. Open Cup. They defeated the San Diego Loyal SC 1-0 thanks to a goal from Kevin Cabral. Some regular starters such as Jonathan Bond, Sega Coulibaly, and Chicharito got some rest.
So far, Greg Vanney’s team owns a 2-0-1 record when playing at home. Both victories were against title contenders and by one goal. Curiously enough, they lost the one in which they were offering a similar soccer betting price than Saturday’s (-105).
Nashville SC Turning Things Around
The Six Strings started the season on the wrong foot, winning only one of its first four games. Nevertheless, as I mentioned before, they haven’t lost in its last three.
Most recently, they drew 2-2- to the San Jose Earthquakes. The good news is that Hany Mukhtar scored both goals, allowing him to recover some much needed confidence. He and C.J. Sapong are the team’s top scorers with two goals each.
Prior to that draw, Nashville defeated the Columbus Crew (1-0) and Sporting KC (2-1). Against Kansas City, they showed a lot of character by coming from behind.
Also, as I mentioned before, all Nashville’s games have been on the road. Head coach Gary Smith is more than happy with the effort all players have done.
“The guys are equipping themselves in just about every venue in a wonderful way, and I certainly couldn’t ask for any more from the fellas,” said Smith in an interview. Maybe he could ask for another victory. That way they would debut at GEODIS Park with first place on sight.
The Six Strings are offering a +300 price in the sportsbook. They aren’t strangers to pulling off upsets. They already defeated Seattle, Columbus, and Kansas City as underdogs.

Los Angeles Galaxy vs Nashville SC Prediction
Overall, the Los Angeles Galaxy scored in five of its previous seven games. Nashville SC did the same in six of their previous seven games. Individually, Chicharito is on fire, and Mukhtar finally woke up. Therefore, expect quite a game in which the total will go over, which is precisely my soccer picks and parlays. In fact, I would still choose the over even if the total was set at 3½ goals.
Score Prediction: Los Angeles Galaxy 3, Nashville SC 2
