Valladolid: Poor Form
Valladolid was dealt a really tough set of opening fixtures and hasn’t been helped by early-season injuries to the likes of Shon Weissman and Gonzalo Plata. It feels like a squad that will be short on goals and one that may struggle to beat the drop. They are now sitting 15th in the standings, five points above the red zone, but the schedule is very difficult.
The team has now lost three of its last four in the league, including its last two without scoring, which has increased the pressure heading into this contest. Valladolid finished second in the second division last season to secure a return to the top flight and will be looking to remain here for another campaign.
This is the type of game that is likely to determine what kind of season Valladolid will have. The Pucelle are playing a team with a poor home record with no big expectations for this season, but we shouldn’t trust Valladolid on their travels, so don’t include them in your soccer picks and parlays.
