Napoli has played its way to the top of the Serie A table and opened the season with eight consecutive wins. Napoli hit a bump in the road by drawing with AS Roma last weekend but can return to its winning ways vs Bologna.

Napoli vs Bologna Betting Preview
Head to Head
Last season, Napoli defeated Bologna 3-1 at home and 1-0 away. From May 2019 to July 2020, Bologna was undefeated in three games vs Napoli but the latter has historically been the better pick for betting online.
I Partenopei are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games vs Bologna and are expected to win once again.
With a scoreless draw at the Stadio Olimpico, Roma ended Napoli’s perfect start to the season. Napoli still hasn’t dropped points at home and the Serie A leaders have kept three shutouts there in four tries. That is, in part, why Napoli has been one of the best soccer picks in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
Shut out for the first time this season vs Roma in 12 matches in all competitions, Napoli will go back to the drawing board ahead of its clash with Bologna. While it’s hard to fault a Napoli defense that has kept six Serie A shutouts, goals have been strangely hard to come by in the last two matches.
Prior to its Matchweek 9 game vs Torino, Napoli had managed at least six shots on target in every match. Nigerian star striker Victor Osimhen scored an 81st-minute goal to secure all three points but Napoli managed just three shots on target. Napoli matched that number in Rome and needs to create higher quality chances going forward.
Sitting at a respectable ninth in the Serie A table at 3-3-3, Bologna’s results have been mixed . The Emilia-Romagna club found itself 2-0 down in the first half vs AC Milan, with center back Adama Soumaoro getting sent off within 20 minutes.
A 10-man Bologna fought back and leveled the score just seven minutes into the first half from a Musa Barrow goal.
Then, attacking midfielder Roberto Soriano was also sent off minutes later and Milan added two more goals to win 4-2 vs a nine-man Bologna side. Bologna’s initial comeback was encouraging but the overall performance leaves a lot to be desired.
Now, Bologna will be without both Soriano and Soumaoro when it heads to Napoli and center back Kevin Bonifazi has missed the last two matches with a calf problem. Not the greatest news heading into a match vs one of the two hottest teams in Serie A.
Napoli may find it easier to create chances vs a Bologna side that has given up four goals or more three times and is missing two defenders.
While Barrow and Marko Arnautovic are dangerous, Napoli has conceded six fewer goals than any other Serie A team and is a nightmare to break down.
That said, this is definitely a game that Luciano Spalletti’s side should win, especially vs a Bologna team that has conceded more goals than all but four teams. Plus, Napoli has scored in 16 straight Serie A matches vs Bologna and has only conceded at home to Juventus this season.
At -105 in the BetUS sportsbook to cover the 1½-goal line vs a shorthanded Bologna, bet on Napoli.
