Napoli: Out of Form

We expect more from him but it’s very important to note that he was injured for a long period of time and it’s always tough to return to form in such a short period. Next season he will improve but let’s see if he stays with Napoli or leaves to the higher bidder. Given their form and morale, it’s risky to back Napoli so we will not include them in our soccer picks and parlays.
Sassuolo: Talented Squad
The 2020/21 season will be remembered fondly by all involved at Sassuolo, as they saw their side reach unprecedented heights in record-breaking campaigns. They hit 62 points, breaking their previous best total of 61 from 2016/15. In 2016 they did qualify for the Europe League though, whereas they missed out on European football due to their goal difference, Serie A’s second tiebreaker.
De Zerbi’s decision to leave Sassuolo at the end of the last season was disappointing news not only to Neroverdi supporters but also to anyone who has as much as a passing interest in Serie A. Sassuolo was playing the most entertaining football under De Zerbi and we cashed many times with them.
They also lost many of their key players but they still have a talented squad with many amazing youngsters including the likes of Gianluca Scamacca, Giacomo Raspadori, Hamed Junior Traore, Davide Frattesi, and Maxime Lopez. Their main objective this season is to rebuild the squad and finish in the top half of the table. They are sitting 10th just three points above Udinese and Torino and they need a good run in the final weeks of the season. If you’re betting online, you should know that Sassuolo has always performed well against the top sides so we expect them to maintain that trend.
Napoli vs Sassuolo Head-to-Head
Sassuolo managed to hold Napoli two a 2-2 and a 3-3 draw in their previous two mutual encounters between the two sides. They also managed to beat them back in 2020, 2-0 on the road so you can now understand why it’s difficult to back Napoli. Sassuolo is very inconsistent on the road winning just two of their last four away fixtures but they managed to beat Inter during the process. Napoli’s form is awful. They won two of their previous eight matches across all competitions, conceding at least one goal in seven of them. Their home form is worrying. They lost three of their last five games across all competitions.
