Teams Deadlocked for Sixth Place in the Eastern Conference
Unbeaten Streak at Risk
The New England Revolution had a very rocky start to the MLS season, losing five out of their first eight games. Head coach Bruce Arena was about to lose his job, but then things started to change. Now, we’re talking about a team that hasn’t lost in their last nine games.
The Revolution will next collide with a team that recently scored four goals against the MLS reigning champions. As if that wasn’t enough, FC Cincinnati has won more games on the road than at home. New England deserves to dominate the soccer odds, but don’t underestimate the visitors.

Let’s check the latest soccer news, stats, injury reports, and USA MLS odds for New England Revolution vs FC Cincinnati. We’ve plenty of soccer predictions and soccer betting for you to consider.
New England Revolution: Waking Up
Last season, the New England Revolution finished atop the Eastern Conference. They pretty much crushed everybody. Carles Gil and Gustavo Bou had a lot to do with that. So much, so that Gil ended up winning the MVP award and Bou finished among the league’s top scorers with 15 goals.
This season, both started on the wrong foot but are finally waking up. Bou scored one of the two goals when New England defeated Minnesota United 2-1 in its last home game. Dylan Borrero scored the other. As for Gil, he’s one of the best in the league with six assists, trailing only Diego Fagundez from Austin FC with seven,
Most recently, they went to Vancouver and came back with a point after drawing 0-0 to the Whitecaps. The Revs won possession with 59 percent and took 16 shots. No matter the outcome, we’re talking about a team that never stops attacking. That’s why, despite sitting in seventh place, only two teams in the Eastern Conference have scored more goals than the Revolution.
Their home record isn’t the best at, 4-3-2, but again, they’ve been turning things around. They haven’t lost in their last six matches at Gillette Stadium, scoring in each and finishing with a clean sheet once.
They deserve to be the betting online favorites at -200. There’s also the fact that they’ll be highly motivated as a victory could boost them up to the fourth place and within two points of first.
FC Cincinnati: Not Afraid of Powers
The Orange and Blue are building a non-losing streak of their own as they haven’t lost in their last three matches. Yes, they only won one, but they faced the Philadelphia Union, Orlando City and New York City FC. All three teams are better positioned than them.
First, they drew 1-1 to Philly. Brandon Vazquez was the scorer. Later, they defeated the Lions 1-0 on a goal by Brenner Souza. Most recently, they drew 4-4 to the Citizens. They were up 3-0 but couldn’t hold on. Souza was the Man of the Match after scoring a hat trick.
Cincinnati’s attacking trio is the main reason for you to consider including the underdogs (+500) in your soccer picks. Vazquez has scored eight goals. Only three other players in the league have scored more. Luciano Acosta has scored six goals and is followed by Souza with four.
They own a 4-2-3 record when playing on the road. That’s one more victory than at home. Plus, they scored in each of their last five games on the road and finished with a clean sheet once.

This will be the second meeting of the season between the two. The first, which ended up being a goal-fest, was in late May. New England won 3-2 in Cincinnati thanks to a very late goal from Tommy McNamara.
Curiously enough, the last time they met in Foxborough, they teams also combined for five goals in total. That time, during the 2021 season, the Revs won 4-1. Cincinnati’s only victory over New England was at Gillette Stadium in 2019 (2-0).

Revolution vs FC Cincinnati Prediction
New England’s unbeaten streak is impressive, but they drew in five of those nine games. Plus, they’ve allowed 26 goals, third-most in the Eastern Conference, and they’ll face a very talented offensive unit. I don’t think the streak will end, as the visitors have allowed 30 goals, but the Orange and Blue will return home with a point after another highly entertaining match with plenty of goals. Go ahead and include the draw in your online gambling ticket.
Score Prediction: New England Revolution 2, FC Cincinnati 2
