Real Sociedad, PSV Vie for Top-Two Finish

Injury-Riddled Napoli Faces Real Sociedad in Europa League

Group C top scorers Napoli play host to leaders Leicester in the last round of the Europa League Group Stage while Real Sociedad must beat visiting PSV on Thursday in order to book their knockout stage tickets. Our sportsbook is offering great odds on this Europa League Parlay.

Real Sociedad vs. PSV: High-Scoring Affair

Real Sociedad doesn’t take any real momentum into this clash. They failed to score in their previous three fixtures, losing the last two La Liga matchups against Espanyol and Real Madrid. On top of that, they lost to Monaco in the last Europa League round, which means that they must beat PSV in order to progress to the next stage.

Real Sociedad and PSV are fighting for a top two finish and we’re expecting a high-scoring affair when they face each other on Thursday

This will just be the second competitive meeting between the two sides. The reverse clash ended in a 2-2 entertaining draw, with all four goals being scored in 54 minutes. Real Sociedad will definitely have an aggressive approach with Alexander Sorloth and Alexander Isak leading the attacking line while Adnan Januzaj and Mikel Oyarzabal will try to serve them with some good assists. PSV will enter this tie full of confidence after destroying Utrecht 4-1 at home on Saturday evening. They have some injury concerns but nothing to worry about.

The visitors will be happy with a draw, which guarantees them a place in the knockout stages. They don’t know how to defend so we expect them to go all in and try to win on the road. If you’re betting online, we don’t recommend you back Real Sociedad given their form. Instead, for our second pick of the parlay, we are going with goals and the line is set at 2½. You could also go with PSV to pick up at least one point from this clash as we expect them to cover the +½ at -110.

Pick: Over 2½ goals -130

Napoli vs. Leicester: Huge Injury Issues for Italian Side

Europa League Group C is very complicated as all four teams have a chance to qualify further in the competition. Leicester is leading the standings with eight points before the last round of the Group Stage, Spartak Moscow and Napoli are just one point behind them while Legia are sitting last with six points.

Napoli enters this clash as favorites at even money according to the latest soccer odds. That’s very strange given the circumstances. The Italians won just one of their previous six games across all competitions, losing three in the process.

They also lost their Serie A leading spot after dropping 10 points in the last five domestic league matches. On top of that they have huge injury issues, missing their best defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, and their top two strikers in Victor Osimhen and Lorenzo Insigne.

Luciano Spalletti must once again adapt because he’s also missing Stanislav Lobotka, Fabian Ruiz and Andre-Frank Anguissa. The two teams shared spoils in a 2-2 draw when they met each other back in September and we’re expecting another entertaining match full of drama.

On the other side, Leicester is scoring goals for fun no matter the competition. They have no injury issues and we expect star striker Jamie Vardy to lead the attacking line after being rested for most of the game against Aston Villa. Their attacking firepower is huge as they have Patson Daka and Kelechi Iheanacho as viable alternatives in the attacking line.

The goal-line is set at three, a bit too big for our needs, but given Napoli’s injury crisis and Leicester’s goal-scoring record, we don’t expect the Italians to win this one and we are going with the away team to cover the +½. But if the line drops to 2½, we will have a bit of that on our soccer picks and parlays because Leicester’s games always produce goals.

Pick: Leicester +½ (-130)
