The Portland Timbers currently sit in 10th place in the Western Conference. The good news is that they’re only one point behind seventh place. That’s the last one to grant a ticket for the Playoff.
Most recently, the Timbers lost 2-0 to the Colorado Rapids. It was a disappointing defeat because the Rapids played the last 30 minutes with 10 players. Even so, Colorado finished with three more shots on target.

Portland’s lone victory on the road was a goal-fest. They went to Vancouver and defeated the Whitecaps 3-2. Dairon Asprilla, Jaroslaw Niezgoda, and Chara were the scorers.
