Revolution in New England?
Last season, the New England Revolution lost just five games. This season, they’ve played nine games and they already lost five. The good news is that they won in the last fixture and their next two games are at home. In other words, this game is a great opportunity for Bruce Arena’s team to start a revolution and turn things around.
On the other hand, we have the Columbus Crew, a two-sided team. They recently lost to a team from the USL Championship. Two weeks later, they crushed a team from the MLS.
The coin is in the air, but according to the soccer odds, New England (-110) has better chances.
Let’s check the latest news, stats, injury reports, and USA MLS odds for Revolution vs Crew. We’ve plenty of predictions for you to consider.
Revolution Had to Call El Tico
The poor results made Bruce Arena look for solutions in the academy, where he found Damian Rivera, better known as El Tico. Rivera became only the third player in MLS history to score in the first minute of his first career start.

El Tico opened the can against Inter Miami, a game in which New England was the favorite at -250. Scoring a locker room goal allowed New England to control the game at will and end up winning 2-0. Miami losing two players in the second half due to a red card also helped.
For New England it was also a matter of honor because Miami had won their first meeting 3-2. Defensively, it was only the second time that the Revolution managed to finish a game with a clean sheet.
The good news doesn’t end there. Carlos Gil, the reigning MVP, regained a lot of confidence after having a great game. He registered his fourth assist of the season and created six chances. Gil is now tied for the league lead in that category with 35 chances created.
Overall, the Revolution own a 3-1-5 record. All three victories were at home, so the answer is yes, they deserve to be the soccer betting favorites.
Crew Bouncing Back
After losing four games in a row, including an embarrassing 2-1 against Detroit City FC, the Columbus Crew seems to be taking back control.
Most recently, they drew 0-0 to Sporting KC and crushed DC United 3-0. Pedro Santos, Derrick Etienne, and Darlington Nagbe were the scorers. Santos and Nagbe played so well that both ended up being named to MLSSoccer.com’s Team of the Week.
That victory allowed the Crew to climb up to seventh place in the Eastern Conference. They own a 3-3-3 record and the fourth best defensive unit (one goal per game). The problem with the Crew – is they’re winless on the road (0-3-1). That’s why they’re offering a +265 price in the sportsbook.
Also, they recently traded Gyasi Zardes to the Colorado Rapids. Besides being a very productive striker (54 goals in 110 games), Zardes was a leader in the locker room. Now it’s up to Miguel Berry, James Igbekeme, Yaw Yeboah, and Etienne to drive the opponent’s defense crazy.

Revolution vs Crew Prediction
Both are highly motivated, which is why you can expect another close game, however, there is no doubt that the New England Revolution is the better team. We’re talking about the same roster that had a historic regular-season in 2021 and now they’re getting into rhythm. Plus, Gillette Stadium has been their best ally. Therefore, I recommend you include a close victory for the home side in your soccer picks.
Score Prediction: New England Revolution 2, Columbus Crew 1
