If you ask Jose Mourinho about happiness, his response will involve Inter Milan. He won it all while coaching the Neraazzurri. Now, 11 years later, his current team could prevent Inter from climbing to the Italian Serie A top spot.
It’s not common for AS Roma to be soccer betting underdogs when playing at home. However, they lost three of their last five games. On the other hand, Inter hasn’t lost in its last seven games entering Saturday’s match in Rome.

Inter Milan on Rise
The reigning champions are sitting in third place, but only two points behind Napoli and one point behind AC Milan. Napoli and AC Milan can thank Lazio, the only team that has been capable of beating Inter.
After a rocky start, full of ties, the Neraazzurri turned things around and started winning. We’re talking about the only team that has beaten Napoli. Most recently, they beat Spezia 2-0 with goals from Roberto Gagliardini and Lautaro Martinez.
No other team has scored more goals than them. Inter is currently averaging 2.4 goals per game. Defensively, they aren’t the best, but they haven’t allowed a single goal in their last three games in all competitions.
Many thought that Inter would regret selling Romelu Lukaku, but I’m not so sure. Martinez leads the team in scoring with eight goals while Edin Dzeko has scored seven. Nicolo Barella has been their best companion, leading the league in assists with five.
Inter’s roster is so good that Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, Stefano Sensi, and Hakan Calhanoglu didn’t start against Spezia. All of them would be lock starters in any other team. That’s just in case you were wondering if they truly deserve to be betting online favorites. They do.

Mourinho returned to Italy to lead AS Roma back to the top but it isn’t going to be easy. They currently sit in fifth place, 11 points behind first place, thanks to an 8-1-6 record.
Five of those losses were on the road, including the one they suffered midweek against Bologna (1-0). Despite recent scores and odds, we’re talking about a well-balanced team. Prior to losing to Bologna, they won three games in a row without conceding a single goal.
Curiously enough, Dzeko left Roma to sign with Inter Milan, but Roma wasted no time signing a replacement. I’m referring to Tammy Abraham, who used to play for Chelsea in the English Premier League. He has scored four goals, trailing only Lorenzo Pellegrini (five) on the team’s scoring sheet.
They’ve been a much more reliable soccer pick when playing at home thanks to a 5-1-1 record. They scored in all games but one and finished with a clean sheet four times. In this case, betting $100 on them as home underdogs would make you win $390.

Roma vs Inter Prediction
Mourinho is one of the best head coaches in history, but AS Roma isn’t ready to defeat Inter Milan. I’m not saying they won’t put up a fight. In fact, I think the game will end in a draw. The Portuguese is a counterattack master, so it won’t be easy for Inter to score like they’ve been doing.
