Southampton vs West Ham

Southampton’s 2-0 win against Norwich was labeled as a tough victory by manager Ralph Hasenhuttl. The Saints controlled the game without having to exert much effort onto their opponents. The Saints more than tripled Norwich’s attempted efforts, recording 27 shots to the Canaries’ eight. They climbed up to ninth in the league table with 35 points picked up in 26 games. They are unbeaten in the previous six fixtures across all competitions, winning four.

Southampton is unbeaten in their last seven FA Cup matches on home soil, winning five, though were eliminated from one of those draw games in a penalty shootout. They are looking to qualify in the FA Cup quarterfinals in consecutive campaigns for the first time since 1905 and 1906. Southampton did well to beat Swansea City and Coventry City in the earlier rounds of the competition, being forced into extra time on both occasions. They are unbeaten in their previous 11 games at St Mary’s and they enter this clash as +160 favorites on the three-way moneyline according to the latest soccer odds.

The Southampton duo of Nathan Tella and Alex McCarthy remain out following setbacks in their injuries, but did not pick up any fresh concerns in Friday’s win over Norwich. It would not be surprising to see Hasenhuttl play his best starting XI. On the other side, West Ham is winless in nine FA Cup away games against fellow Premier League sides, losing six in the process, but they’ve never lost to Southampton and have won three of six games.

For the visitors, Ukrainian international Andriy Yarmolenko has understandably been granted time off while Vladimir Coufal, Arthur Masuaku and Angelo Ogbonna will certainly miss out for the Hammers. Ryan Fredericks’s groin strain will likely keep him out as well. With a depleted squad and given their FA Cup away record, West Ham is expected to make many problems against the Saints so we don’t recommend you include them in your soccer picks and parlays.

Pick: Southampton +160

Middlesbrough vs Tottenham

Tottenham beat Brighton 3-1 at home in the previous round of the competition while Middlesbrough overcame Manchester United at Old Trafford, winning a penalty shootout after keeping them to a 1-1 draw. They enter this clash on the back of two wins in their last three Premier League games, pulling off a great upset by beating leaders Manchester City.

For visiting Tottenham, Rodrigo Bentancur will miss out with an ankle problem while Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga are also major doubts due to their recent injury problems. Lucas Moura is doubtful after sitting out last weekend against Leeds due to a knock that he picked up in training. They haven’t reached the FA Cup quarterfinals since 2018. Tottenham’s manager Antonio Conte has lost only one of his 11 domestic cup matches against sides from a lower division, winning eight in the process.

If you’re betting online, Tottenham is the team to watch under the Italian manager. They are fighting for a top-four finish in the English top-flight league, sitting just five points behind fourth-place Manchester United. On the other side, Middlesbrough has only won one of their last 13 head-to-heads with the Spurs across all competitions. They have no chance to book a Premier League promotion, sitting eighth in the Championship, nine points behind second-place Bournemouth. We expect an easy win for Tottenham with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min being excellent in the 4-0 win against Leeds at the weekend. The duo isready to deliver again and help their team to qualify in the quarterfinals.

Pick: Tottenham -140
