Strasbourg vs PSG Prediction, Match Preview, Live Stream, Odds and Picks

This is it! All PSG needs to win the Ligue 1 title for the eighth time in the last 10 years is a point. With only two games left, Kylian Mbappe and company are six points ahead of Lens. As expected, PSG comes in as the Ligue 1 betting favorite, while Strasbourg needs one point to avoid relegation. In other words, you can expect fireworks.

Strasbourg: Too Late

Before the start of the season, Strasbourg’s top priority was to qualify for a UEFA competition. Instead, the club is now struggling to avoid relegation.

Last Sunday, it drew 1-1 to Troyes. Strasbourg should have won since it dominated possession with 55% and finished with 16 shots in total, but it wasn’t effective in front of goal. It also finished the match with 10 players after Alexander Djiku was sent off.

Things have turned around recently, losing just one of its last six matches. Regardless of the result, it scored in all six games and finished with a clean sheet three times. That non-losing streak allowed it to get out of the relegation zone, but it still needs a point to officially put all that behind it.

Regarding the Ligue 1 lines, Strasbourg is offering a +390 price to win straight up, which could improve via Ligue 1 live betting. The club’s home record isn’t the best, but it always puts up a good fight, losing four of its last 10 home games, all by just one goal.

PSG: Believe in Mbappe

Last week, I wrote that Kylian Mbappe would lead PSG to victory against Auxerre, and that’s exactly what he did. The Parisians won 2-1 thanks to a brace scored by the 24-year-old striker. PSG won possession with 64% but only took four shots on goal. Auxerre took seven.

Mbappe has had an incredible season, leading the Golden Boot race with 28 goals, two more than Alexandre Lacazatte from Olympique Lyon. Lionel Messi has much to do with his success, leading the league in assists with 16. He has been Mbappe’s best partner in crime, especially with Neymar out due to injury.

Overall, no other team has scored more goals than PSG’s 86. The club also owns the second-best defensive unit, conceding one goal per game and winning it’s last six road games. That explains why it’s offering a -160 price in the sportsbook to win straight up.

Besides Neymar, right-back Achraf Hakimi is also out due to suspension.

Strasbourg vs PSG Head-to-Head

PSG was the betting online favorite in their first meeting and delivered with a 2-1 victory. Marquinhos scored the opener for the Parisians only 14 minutes into the game. He also scored the equalizer for Strasbourg (own goal) at the start of the second half. Finally, Mbappe saved the day in stoppage time.

PSG played with one less player from minute 62 after Neymar was sent off.

This was PSG’s sixth victory in the last 10 head-to-heads.
