In Bundesliga RB Leipzig plays host to Mainz on Saturday for their first match of the year, In Ligue 1 Marseille should have enough for struggling Bordeaux while Atletico Madrid travels to play on-fire Villarreal in the Spanish La Liga. Our sportsbook has you covered with the best odds on the market for the European soccer leagues.

Bordeaux vs. Marseille (Ligue 1 Round 20)

Marseille opens the round on Friday with an away match against relegation-threatened Bordeaux. Despite playing on the road, they enter this clash being huge favorites to return home with the three points being priced at -195 on the three-way moneyline according to the latest soccer odds.

Marseille started the year on a high, beating Chauvigny 3-0 away from home in the French Cup while depleted Bordeaux lost 3-0 against Brest having just two shots on target in the entire match.

COVID has hit them, and they will be without 10 of their key players for this match. On top of that, their midfielder Jean Onana will play for Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Marseille are one of the best teams away from home this season winning five in eight games on the road, losing just one in the process. They have the best defense in the league with just 15 goals conceded in 18 games and they are sitting third in the standings with 33 points, equal on points with second-placed Nice but with a game in hand on them. They have a good chance to end the round in second place as Nice will travel to play Brest on Sunday.

Bordeaux managed to keep Marseille to a 2-2 draw in the reverse match but given the circumstances it will be very tough for them to win point/s from this clash. We expect Marseille to dominate the match from the first until the last whistle and cover the spread set at -1.

Pick: Marseille -1 at -120

RB Leipzig vs. Mainz (Bundesliga Round 18)

Jesse Marsch has left RB Leipzig by mutual consent after less than half a season as head coach, but the crisis is of their own making. Marsch inherited Nagelsmann’s squad minus its two top class center-backs Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate plus top midfielder Marcel Sabitzer who signed with leaders Bayern Munich. The management is very poor right now in Leipzig.

They never replaced Timo Werner’s goals, and the man they had on loan last season, Patrick Schick, was allowed to join Bayer Leverkusen and is on fire this season. Leipzig have been hugely reliant on Christopher Nkunku, who is enjoying a brilliant season for his club.

They are certainly underachievers this season sitting 10th in the standings with 22 points picked up in 17 games, almost half from what leaders Bayern Munich have earned this season. They are winless on the road but if we are talking only about the home games, they are sitting third with six wins in nine matches. They are not the best team to be backed on our soccer picks and parlays but given their home form we are taking a shot with them.

On the other side, Mainz are above RB Leipzig in the standings, but they are dreadful on the road winning just six points in eight away games and scoring just seven goals in the process.

Pick: RB Leipzig ML at -130

Villarreal vs. Atletico Madrid (La Liga Round 20)

The Yellow Submarine made a slow start to the season, but they look unstoppable at the moment, with the team scoring 10 goals in total in back-to-back wins 5-2 over Alaves and 5-0 over Levante. With four wins in a row, Villarreal are the hottest team in La Liga.

Normally we would back them to beat Atletico Madrid on Sunday, but they have some important players missing for this clash with Mandi, Aurier, Chukwueze, and Boulaye Dia joining their national teams for the Africa Cup of Nations.

If you’re betting online and you want to be good at it you should always stay informed and know everything about the team you want to bet on.

On the other side, after four defeats in a row, Atletico Madrid returned to winning ways beating Rayo Vallecano 2-0 on home soil on the second day of the year. Simeone, Koke, Griezmann, Herrera and Joao Felix test positive for covid missing the game against Rayo but they all received clearance from LaLiga to return to training so they will be ready to play against Villarreal.

Unfortunately, Kieran Trippier played his last match for Atletico being set to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with the option of a further year with Newcastle. We expect a high-scoring affair with at least three goals on the scoresheet.

Pick: Over 2½ in the match at +120
